There is currently too much downtime in the middle rings because of how long the countdown takes (i think its 3 minutes) and people just camp and wait to the next ring which is very boring
So the game must force people to move so we can get to the action quicker.
Are attention spans so short nowadays that 3 minutes is to long?
It's fine the way it is imo.
The amount of people who drop in and want a gunfight within 30 seconds is crazy. That's why half the squads die so quickly. The ring time is fine. Some of the player base isn't.
And please don't bring the "camping" argument here. That belongs in Cod and Battlefield forums. BR is do what you need to to survive.
3 minutes is not too long just because of the number 3, its too long within the context of the game and how it plays out.
It there was more shooting and action going on i wouldnt complain but 3 minutes of running around and finding no one just to have the ring close and repeat that process again? Quite boring
Your point about the playerbase may be true but guess what? Playerbase is not going to change people will always want to land in the hot zones and areas close to the beginning, so therefore the game must change to accomodate the playerbase.
Because people die so early theres fewer teams left on the map to find and fight which is why my solution works. The only other solution is to keep more teams alive at the beginning of the game i suppose you could try to do that as someone mentioned by removing the blue loot zone but speeding up the ring timers would be more effective and reliable leaving less to chance
