I mean every gun needs a easy-to-use gun, not everyone can handle the recoil of R-99 or Flatline perfectly. I miss my shots sometimes too on these guns, I would probably be bored to death if I pickup a spitfire. I would die to a spitfire probably because I missed my shots or did something stupid.
L-Star beats Spitfire in every aspect from hipfire, medium range damage output, or even raw DPS, only downside is you will run out of ammo quick in BR plus the horrid muzzle flash. In Arenas, 240 ammo is enough for a round.
Spitfire is only op to average to below average players. Good players will always pick other guns over it. The flatline is way better and I many times will choose a hemlock over it if I have a shortrange weapon. Players that dont use cover properly and don't have good aim and movement get mowed down by the spitfire but if you are in lobbies where everyone is a tryhard it can definitely be a liability. It was much stronger before the last nerf though and I actually used it quite often then.
Regardless of whatever state it's in I would grab it if I had a long range gun, or using Rampart. in the second scenario I want to make use of ramparts passive, but when it comes to alternatives, I have a devotion I can't find, or close range L-star that im already sick of. Im glad a new Lmg is coming, but with spit. going in the cp, I still have the same issue.
