Forum Discussion
Are you trolling? Because you are clearly not as skilled as you claim if you have not seen the cheaters in this game. Especially with the hours you claim to have played. I have seen many speed hackers, esp hackers and aim bots used. MANY TIMES! Some days I may go hours without suspicion and other days it’s every other game for a few hours. When top players did a twitch competition they had to work in a redo system for games where cheaters ruined games, and yes they had cheaters! It’s not just people on this forum, check out reddit or watch some YouTube...it’s a known infestation. Yet you make it seem as if everyone, all the evidence, even the developers themselves stating its a issue are all wrong? Over half a million hardware bans in two months, yet there are no cheaters because you, the most experienced person on these forums, doesn’t see them? What a joke of a post.

The point of this thread was to encourage people to pay more attention. As it sits, there's not an effective enough way to catch hackers, so you can't 100% say someone is cheating if you haven't seen it fully. There's a difference between really good and hacker.
That's all! He didn't deny hackers! He just doesn't want APEX's name to be ruined because of all the negative comments from people who had an off game!

You got it just right! The main reason why this thread was created is because I can't relate to all the threads saying the game is infested with hackers. Hackers have been around for a while and that is espacially true when it comes to free MMO games like Apex. That is undeniable!
What is deniable are statements like "There are hackers in every single match". ifferent players encountered different amounts / ratios of cheaters.
Thanks man!

What a joke of a post.Thank you for bringing your perspective to the discussion. I believe some parts of your post aren't bringing any value to the discussion so I'll just omit to consider these parts. Here I Removed them for you. Now let's discuss :D
From your perspective, it seems like it's not as bad as many players make it look like. You mentionned you can play hours without seeing a single cheat which is great! As stated earlier, speedhacks are pretty obvious therefore I can't counter argue with you and I believe you 100% when you say you saw these kinds of cheats.
I love the part where you say a twitch competition had to work in a redo system. That is a valuable argument which demonstrates that there sure are hackers in the game and in a ratio high enough for that competition to be impacted by such cheaters.I did see obvious hacks in youtube videos and instagram posts. That unfortunately doesn't demonstrate how bad of a problem the issue is since communities are most likely to post about hacks instead of the lack of it.
"Over half a million hardware bans in two months"
I did see numbers like 300k popup in my google news feed. I can't deny that. I wish I had access to stats like daily bans amount, and on which servers. An earlier replier stated that some servers seemed a lot more infested by hacks than others.
What server do you play on? That feedback could help others figure out if the issue is worse in some servers.- 7 years ago
I did one google search just now. All I asked was how many banned cheaters there were in Apex legends. The top three or four stories said 500,000 or so caught. I don’t know how you did not come up with that number as well. I speculate a majority of the cheaters are on pc. For arguments sake let’s say 80% of cheaters are on PC and PC is 1/3 of all the player base. Approximately 17 million pc players...with 400,000 band accounts. If my example math is accurate, I’m speculating it’s on the safe side of guesses. 2.35% of all PC players got caught cheating thus far. With 60 people per game we are looking at a cheater every single game on PC. And that’s people who have got caught. Many more have not been caught. It’s easy to go a game without seeing one of them but after many games you do see them or lose to one and for a BR that is a very high amount. If overwatch or fortnight I had this kind of cheating they would not be played anymore. This is why people are complaining. Because the game has a lot of cheaters and in a BR it has a very powerful impact.

Thanks for coming up with the numbers.
It undeniably shows that there is an issue with cheats in the game.I wasn't able to confirm the 17 million PC players by googling it. Could you provide me with a link? The reason for this is that if the 17 million players is not a total of all players but instead is a total of currently active players, you can't compare that number with a full total of bans. That math just wouldn't be right.
To get numbers that better represent the current state of the game, we would need to get the following variables:
- How many accounts on unique IPs were banned since the start of april- How many accounts on unique IPs were actively playing the game since the start of april
- What are the ratios of banned players for every platform
- What are the ratios of active players for every platform
- What is the average playtime of cheaters using cheats
- What is the average playtime of cheaters without using cheats
....
And many more
I'm pretty sure such numbers would highly impact the final percentage of matches containing cheaters on PC.
I upvoted your post <3
