This game is awful as far as teammates just screaming like they are Hal in the ALGS playing for millions of dollars. It isn't once and a while either it happens all the time around gold/plat ranks. The sad thing is (myself included) is these players are awful but are too ignorant to realize that they are awful. I play Rocket League at a high level GC/SSL. If you put me in a champ or below level game I could care less about my teammates and how bad they are because I know that unless the other team has a high level smurf we are going to win almost every time. I could right now create a new Rocket League account from unranked and if I had the time to play all day I would be GC in a matter of hours. Solo Queing. The same thing applies to this game and I can't believe how many people don't realize this. If you are platinum that is where you belong. It isn't your teammates. I know that I belong in plat and until I personally get better that is where I will stay. The majority of you (some do) but most of you think it is because you are getting bad teammates and in reality it is because you are just not good enough to advance in rank.

Well said, the yelling and toxisity just makes people try to ruin your day instead to be honest.Trying to be a team player and treat people like they in your face will make the day better for more people then you. And in general remember if youre inspecting someone and start yelling at him because you died, that is flaw nr one ... why is he alive and not you, no reason to yell at him because you managed to die all by yourself hehe.But to be honest, in plat at the moment, is not plat level the lobbies are almost full trails and I can understand the frustration, but when a master team walks over you while they are grinding their path it hurts quite hard, and when that happens the 10th time in a row it can put its mark and some people might lash out. I feel lucky to have a full team where we laugh it off and try again. If its too much we do a few arenas to release the safety valve and go back to get steamrolled some more :D

@Persistance55 theres a difference between a game where you lose rank by not playing, and one where you just do the bare minimum to get a rank and never have to lose it. Nobody here is going to believe you on your rocket league story btw.if you dont like people using voice chat to tell you that you made a bad play, then mute them. Or say something back to them? I got on my mic and said, yo quit yelling or take the 10 minute leaver penalty, cuz im not listening to this and im not giving up. He proceeded to calm dwon and we won the game. Sometimes people act toxic because they know nobody is going to reply. Its really easy for me to sit here and type this at you, calling you a stupid kid. People in this game are toxic for little to no reason at all. Players tend to think they're better than they actually are and take it out on their teammates when things don't go their way.
The text chat and mic are used for communication purposes and stratigizing, they shouldn't have to be used to tell some screaming prepubesant or some player that thinks they're hot * to chill out.
Being respectful to your teammates is basic human decency.
Unfortunately you're not going to get much of that in what is a competitive team game. You're better off muting them.

Not everyone though, actually most people I meet are positive and is able to take a chill pill when not everything goes smoothly hehe. But there are some... The select few that really gets noticed...

I don't rage at my teammates..but when I get a lvl 113 on my team who acts like a complete bot and you have to leave him behind because he absolutely refuses to join the other team members valkyrie jump...then I want to rage.
Dude didn't even follow and eventually we made our way back to him and stood right in front of a window like a calling sign after another team had been spotted. Anyone could have sniped his *.

The fact that you know how long it would take you to get back to GC means you’re one of the Smurfs that’s ruining the game. Let me break this down for you. I can’t believe you inflated. Smurfs don’t understand are used to be a champ one. I’m stuck in diamond one constantly playing against opponents triple resetting as a previous champ I can hit a single flip reset but I would never do that and ranked because I’m not consistent enough with it I’m not exaggerating how often this happens ridiculous at least 65% of my games and the fact that when I get a match against opponents that are actually diamond, I crush them and they think I’m a Smurf the issue is you play at your rank or if you’re gonna hop on a Smurf account play casual because at the end of the day the only reason why you would drop down to a rank you are better than it’s because you enjoy making other peoples game experience miserable don’t give me bull crap about clips you could hit them clips in casual. You do it in rank because you want to be a bully. The fact that rocket league has been doing nothing to fix this issue. It’s crazy is the modern day form of cyber bullying spamming want to save and texting, ridiculous stuff when your nail I triple reset against diamond.

The Smurfs are in all actuality cyber bullying. They drop down on a Smurf account because they enjoy making other people upset. It’s not about clips because if it was about clips, they would just play casual. It is absolutely about bullying someone else and rocket league does nothing about it, crazy to me

What about those of us who were champion and now all of a sudden are stuck in platinum one see your mentality is one guy should be able to have a teammate that has no game fundamentals up against a smurf grand champion, and a diamond one match or high-level champion that one guy should be able to beat the other two guys no you can absolutely be a champion and be stuck in low level diamond because of how infested the game is with Smurfs. This guy was talking about being a grand champion. That’s on a whole new level that’s one percent of the the players in the world. Of course, they could get back to their rank. This guy is a fool to compare himself to those of us who are champion, stuck in diamond or diamond stuck in platinum.
