Suggestion: Put a cap on KP per opponent killed
There seems to be accusations of top preds / random kids trying to farm the 20-kill and 4K-damage badges by teaming with another trio and repeatedly killing then res-ing each other with mobile respawn beacons and usually Crypto's drone. While it's not usually game-ruining for most players (I don't seem to encounter this that often), it's pretty annoying to see when it does happen and I'm assuming that those vying for #1 pred aren't happy about this kind of collusion.
Suggestion: Limit KP per opposing player to 2 per game. Why 2? It's pretty reasonable for you to kill one player, have his teammates res them mid-fight or later on, then kill them again. But a third kill on that enemy would be really rare. Keeping the KP cap per opponent at 2 would limit how effective kill farming is, both in RP gains and in pursuit of the 20-kill badge.
As an alternative idea, Respawn could continue not enforcing this kind of KP limit but log each time a player exceeds 2 kills on the same player in a game. This happening once or twice is reasonable even though it's rare, but multiple occurrences would be a strong sign of colluding with enemies aka "cheating" - hopefully this would result in a ban. To supplement this, logging for the other common components to this kill farming could be done too, including:
- how many mobile respawn beacons the player's team uses or deploys
- if crypto is present on their team and/or the opponent player's team
- time between kills on the same player
- location of the kills on the same player
I'm not that passionate about this issue since it doesn't affect me too much, but just wanted to throw this idea out there since I've seen it happen more often lately.
