I think from the dev's perspective they are trying to make zip-lines a more risky push, none of us really know what the extent of the re-zip cool downs are going to be.
I think talking about taking skill out of the game is a bit so so, mashing the buttons on the zipline to exploit the movement isn't exactly skill, more than it is just insider knowledge.
You could say now that picking the right time to jump and re-zip requires a higher skill cieling, as it requires a bit more reading and prediction to get it just right.
Likewise with Wraith, the fact that you can now see enemies in the void is HUGE! The real test will be picking the right time to make the jump into the void. 4 secs with increased speed too is going to be huge for her kit and I cannot wait to play her again.
Everybody that says: Now you have to think about using the skill.
Is playing in lobby's where 3rd party is not a thing.
Apex legends has AMAZING movement in the game.
They should make all legends feel faster and make skills faster.
Yet they counter the great movement the game has with SLOOOOW ability's
Everything requires so much time.
3rd parties are getting worse with every patch because every patch they nerf the few things that you can use to prevent dying to 3rd parties.
And this is all done with the intention they want people to think about using their skills?
You can't realy respond to things with a 1.5 sec charge timer.
Basicaly wraiths Q is now a Panic button that does not work anymore.
This is an FPS its a responsive skillbased game.
If i want to think about things and plan them out i should be playing RTS.
Another example is Loba's Q.
They should have reduced the distance by a lot and make it fast.
That way you get characters that are fun to play.
Who tought that making a ringy bel sound should while loba walks would in any way benefit the game?
Loba is supposed to be one of the most talented people in the apex universe right?
Why does it take her longer to put her jewelry on after a Q then it takes my Gf to do it.
And watson clapping her hands after placing fences is the most frustrating thing in the game.

Every decision that value's your game looking cooler or funnier instead of making the game feel better is a bad decision.
And every patch so far proved to me that the dev's do not understand that.
Because obviously the one that made the killleader and evo animation does not get them verry often....
