As a person who just bought the Buster Sword Heirloom, right before they nerfed controller, i can safely say your comment is inaccurate. I have quit the game until they bring simple directional strafing back. Imagine nerfing movement for 1 input on a movement game...
I remember when the devs tested nerfing tap strafing a couple of years ago. The clips from streamers on Youtube went viral, The MNK community went bonkers and they never really touched it again. The devs could easily disable it for mnk as well, But it's just not what they want to do. Having drictional strafing is too much of a staple for Respawn, Going back to Titanfall and the birth of the movement, it was mouse and keys and roller together and that's how it was in apex since day one. What shouldn't be possible is neo strafing and recoil correction. It's amazing that that's gone now. big up to the devs on that one! I've been playing the game since it came out and learned about controller strafing a couple of years ago when I got myself a PC, And honestly, If you've played this game on controller without strafing you just don't know how fun it is to be able to controll your direction in game, And how bad you're getting nerfed by not having it. Would love to see it somehow get balanced. possibly nerfing aim assist and integrating controller strafe into the game? That could be radd and I would be back.
