@RaisinFlakes I hot drop semi frequently. Sometimes I'm just itching for a fight right away. I kind of prefer dropping on 1-2 other squads. It gives the team some people to farm damage off of and get some kills.
I'm not a huge fan of Frag as there isn't enough loot and it's difficult to survive. Even if you survive the initial drop, you'll more than likely get killed by the team who dropped Epicenter or something.

@DarthValtrex Hot dropping is such an exploit for those wanting to third party that one would get more kills landing a bit further away, picking up a weapon and picking off the wounded. I get that Apex is entertaining and scratches that Friday night itch but the team aspect does not allow for that and very few click the 'No Fill' option.

Even if your squad is not doing damage to the enemy, they are at least a distraction for the enemy while you heal up or reload.

I think a lot of not-so-good players think hot dropping will help them git gud. It's the advice I heard about tilted towers in fortnite: JUST KEEP DROPPING YOU'LL GET BETTER (good player laughs as he drops hot and farms easy kills)
