@Kyldenar What a lot of people don’t understand is pick-rates are just part of the equation. I think the reason Horizon’s pick is so high, is she used to be OP. Since becoming a pred/ALGS player requires time, these people probably mained her in her early days. Now they are just stuck on her because it’s what their familiar with.
Personally, I find far too much emphasis is placed on pick rate alone for adjusting character balance.
- Yes @pandareno1999 yes! There is to much faith in streamers and pick rates. AHQ should be the place they do balance surveys, or in game!
- @pandareno1999 What would you suggest? Pick rate and Winrate really make the most sense. The issue is you need to understand it from all skill levels.
- @hayhor I don't really know. That's why I don't particpate in buff/nerf threads very much - I am fully aware that I don't know what I'm talking about. I just feel like pick rate seems to be weighted too heavily.
- @BigMacAttack8u Horizons pick rate is high because she is extremely good. No stun on fall means you can make some incredible movements. And her tactical moves her entire team silently to height. Even her ult isn't bad like people say. Good players really know how to use it.
@hayhorI wasn’t suggesting she was bad, I was just pointing that she probably had a lot of people maining her, and that’s why her pick rate was so high. As we al know valk is way more OP than horizon. To answer your other post, I suggested community surveys would be a nice replacement to pick rate and win rate, or respawn could play test them once in a while.
- @BigMacAttack8u I don't agree valk is far more OP than horizon. Actually since I've been playing Maggie horizon continues to be the legend I hate the most, followed by seer. Valk has never bothered me like she does for some people but I do agree her kit is a bit too good.
