@SlivPTS I gave the answer. Make it so legends do not have stock abilities in solo. Everyone is a character that can be skinned but is the exact same size hitbox. During a round you can pick up abilities like you do other loot.

@hayhor all they had to do for solos was import the IMC / Militia Grunt model from TF1/2, modify the hitbox so it ends up about a hair bigger than Lifeline size, and then give them modified "Dummies Big Day" abilities. That's it. Satisfies everyone.

People who want squad-play get squad-based Legends and abilities. The people who want to ditch the ankle weights and focus on mechanical outplays get to do precisely that. But of course, Respawn needs to reinvent the wheel, which is why they hinted at that god-awful "No Fill" nonsense a while back.
