The SBMM complainers
How can playing lobbies knowing the instant you go in the odds give 40 guys you kill easy 10 you will have a fair fight with and 10 you already know beat you be a good thing? SBMM gives you a chance...
@mastiffslinger When you play with randoms you have to adjust your play to them unless they let you lead. If they play aggressive you have too, if they camp you have too..
?Huh? If my teammates are dead within seconds of landing I should just die too? If my teammates decide to jump into the side of a mountain I should follow?
I understand this is a "team" based game, but it goes both ways. You have to have a team in the first place. Decision making is a big part of this game, bad landing, bad position, bad rotation. Those things crush teams on the regular. How many games have you seen jump masters fail at landing? Since the start of season 3 I have seen more of my fair share of people landing short and running into looted ares just to get blasted in the face by the squad(s) that already landed there.
@DarthValtrex I appreciate your position that you should play as a team regardless of the circumstances, I have given up that ghost this season, I could post screenshot after screenshot of the end game results from matches where I had teammates who lived for less than a minute. But what would be the point? Some of those games I go on and get a few kills maybe make it into top five. A couple of them I won by having better position for final circles and cover from which to fight. Other games I get blasted by the first squad I ran into, but i at least damaged them before dying.
I am going to clarify this again since it seems to get lost in every one of these topics, if you are going to put me in a lobby of people at my skill level or above , give me teammates that are there as well.
Obviously there is no perfect balance to any of this, but this has been happening for months now, I am not saying in the past couple of weeks. I noticed this late season 2 when my friends stopped playing Apex altogether. Carried on into season 3.
I have nothing against SBMM, most matches will result in 50+ players feeling they got robbed.
The major problem is the 10-15% who use ESP, no recoil and soft aim assist. Doesn’t matter if they have 1000 hours in the game or 10, these are hard nuts to crack.
Respawn and EA stopped commenting on cheaters in July 2019 with good effect as they get less press related to their massive cheater problem. Unfortunately marketing strategies does little to improve the quality of the actual product.
They get away with it beacuse Apex is awesome and kind of unique. Next big BR title coming up is MW which looks good on paper - time will tell if they’ve been paying attention.
