And there it is. The reason it FEELS like this is what's happening is because this IS what's happening. And it also serves the purpose of passive-aggressively explaining to solo queue players that this is a team game and that you will forever be held back if you choose not to stack. It might be less irritating if the game had some other serious options for solo play, but that was only ever bots, briefly, and now even that's been ruined.
Maybe Respawn legitimately doesn't see this at all. Or maybe they just don't know how to fix it. Or maybe they don't want to. My bet is the third option, but who really knows?
