I am in the exact same situation man, 9 months that I cannot play and EA will do nothing about it.
This bug was officially acknowledged in the main thread (link below) by a Community Manager, EA_Mari , who marked the issue as "Solved". However, as the thread clearly shows, dozens of users like myself were subsequently ignored, proving the fix was not universal and the problem persists.

This is a widespread, known, and officially acknowledged issue that EA support channels are actively failing to resolve for all affected players.
