It is actually unreal how lost my teammates are constantly. I have routine games that end with both my teammates doing under 100 damage while being well in to the 300-400-500 levels of the game. There needs to be something in game that forces similarly skilled players together beyond just what bracket they happen to be in. Factor in average damage per game, factor in KD ratio, factor in responsiveness to pings or something I don't know. It is wildly tiring to see the end scoreboard pop up after a team fight that I know I played extremely well only to see "Oh cool my level 500 Loba in a 10 minute game did 76 damage while having an alive time of 9 minutes 53 seconds."I know this is never going to get addressed because, like servers, it doesn't actually make Respawn upfront $$ but I can dream.

@PsyhiX69The quick death thing does not have a fast effect. From what I've seen, depending on other factors such as your overall KD, highest rank achieved, win rate, etc it could take hundreds of no damage deaths to have an effect.And as I said placement means something. So even if you aren't winning, if you are finishing top 5 that is working against you. And let's face it, it takes nothing at all to place top 5 in pubs. You can drop edge, not see anyone and by the time you've looted a poi you are top 5.

@Verinetin Some of that stuff is factored in but what I've come to realize is placement, specifically top 5 has a pretty high weighting to the sbmm. You can do nothing game after game damage and kill wise but if you finish top 5 you'll get bumped upwards. So you then have people that don't engage getting dropped into aggressive lobbies where they are severely overrated. It's a big issue I see.

@hayhor This does not work in this season.Killing Yourself does not lower the lobby-skill after some point (after few such deaths).The issue here is that You will still get teammates that just have no clue.They loot for minutes, still at white armor when there are only 6 squads left, do not react to pings about better items/armors/ammo etc, and they die during first encounter.That's why I am not playing this game this season. I have played 80 games this season, won 3 games.Had to win 3v1 in one game, 3v2 in second and 1v1v1 in the third... and about 90% of all games we lost the very FIRST encounter... no matter the enemy's armors...What I am trying to say is that the MM assumes that You will carry your teammates EVERY single game... always.BTW I am playing LOBA - a support character, so I should at least get some assault character, right? Right? WRONG!I am constantly being matched with other support characters with the lowest pick-rates ever... So I had enough.I won't touch this game in this season.

Tbh though, I've had team mates (when queueing solo) that have all the flashy badges and high kill on their character, way better than myself, and they sometimes have a nightmare. From being killed instantly due to where we've just dropped or things like, they think they are better, don't play as a team and end up getting knocked and then putting the pressure on other team mates to try and help them or recover their box. Playing solo is like a lottery

There needs to be changes to how the game fills your teammates.

@hayhor That actually makes sense because the reverse of that is how people get bot lobbies right? They just que up a game, and leave before it starts, effectively telling the SBMM system that they "lost", even though they didnt?

I keep getting low levels who have good fighting mechanics into my game that mess up the game now and again (and more this season then other seasons actually), they go for what they know - head on combat, fine and dandy but I would like them to get paired with their own as it ends with me running on rescue missions the entire game to try save the game and then I get low damage games wich crap placements (ye I know I should just let them die and leave them but the team spirit keeps messing me up). This is way more problematic then a teammate doing their job, dont care how much damage they did but if they enabled the team to progress and enable the other teammembers to do their job - that is key.
I had games with 2K+ damage and 10+ kills where my teammembers barely broke 200 damage, I dont really care they enabled me getting this by keeping alive giving intel and keeping my back clear. Its when people is "that guy" that problems me, often that comes in a lower level package that thinks damage and kills is the game and position and looka-head strategy is for weaklings (ofcourse some times one gets to be the guy not by choice but for some reason you get multibeamed whatever you do everywhere). Its especially impressive when two teamed up lvl 500s get a lvl 20 on the team and he/she gets made jumpmaster (I think its a thing, in 100 jumps ive had season 12 low level random has a 90% chance to get jumpmaster or something :P) then we get a hot drop, and pref one without chance of survival in true youtube style.
But a general disclaimer, not all low levels have a big head and think they the biggun, some actually listen and try learn - those need credit and I dont mind having them on the team as its much easier to hit good placements and get good scores with these.

@Verinetin I am having a tough season as well. I keep getting the worst squadmates imaginable. Game after game of getting 2 knocks or 1 kills and 500+ damage to see my 2 squadmates with no knocks, knocked within 5 seconds of shooting their guns and less than 100 damage. It is so bad this season. I have 4 wins in about 95 games. 1 win I was teamed up with a pred.

@VerinetinSupposedly, the SBMM takes some measure of skill into account other than level but I couldn't tell you what. Respawn won't tell you either because they say it would lead to exploits all over the place.
I play a lot but am not particularly good and I get the combination of clueless/solo randoms and ridiculously good enemies all the time. That is a horrible combination for me...I have a hard enough time winning a 1v1, let alone a 1v2 or 1v3.
I'm with you. There has got to be a better way!
