@KYSOMT I agree there should be input based lobbies. I also agree that aim assist is strong, but you've also got to see the benefits of using M & K that controller players don't have i.e Box looting, movement, long range aim...too name a few. I play controller, but I can also use M & K and the two inputs are so chalk and cheese that its like playing a total different game. With this new rank system the way it is and comments see daily I truly believe that EA Respawn are so out of touch with the player bases opinions that I'm close to quitting. Just money grabbing machine at this point.

3 years agoI think the real issue is most people don't see the clear logic, either because it directly affects them personally or they biasedly don't comprehend the actual idea.
Not to go and confuse you, but what I mean by that is most individuals don't foresee the true things around them, so they act not upon personal experience, but with either the generalized population and/ or their own biased opinion.
So I'd like to put that into some examples.
Someone has a controller, it's all they know and their social lifestyle depends on this one device. They might biasedly defend it and/ or all topics about it. Most aim assistance debates are not about the logic of its use, but about people defending it on a personal level (biased).
Like your examples are only reasons because of mouse & keyboard users. My counter argument would be why did the console launch with more aim assistance?
Like, if consoles only have controller devices for inputs and no cross-play at launch, why does anyone have aim assistance at all? If everyone is on the same playing field, actually nobody should have aim assistance, but that's not what usually happens on consoles unless you have a true competitive title.
It's because aim assistance wasn't about accessibility in Apex Legends, but monetization.
Also, the controller now has more movement as everyone has been sharing Steam configurations to where you click the left thumbstick and can tab-strafing. Plus they have it setup so when looting boxes you can move, but you have to jump.
Also, a good point that most don't ever realize about aim assistance. No human can compete with software at these latency intervals. Aim assistance tracks through objects to where a human wouldn't know to react, plus at timings no human could trace.
One that I still laugh about is how poorly Apex Legends progressed. It started like a fluid movement Battle Royale that was enjoyable with friends. Now it's trying to be something it's not, like competitive.
I've now given up and uninstalled Apex Legends, but thanks for the comment. Once I went down this rabbit hole of aim assistance I quickly noticed there are better companies out there that offer better environments for their titles.
Happy gaming.
