Yup. I have to say that xbox is relatively free of that kind of garbage as well. Every time I hear a nightmare cheating story it's from a guy who plays on PC. It continues to astound me how anyone who plays anything on that platform can express surprise that they run into cheaters. And blame the dev. Yes, the dev could do more. But so can the player. Sell your PC and buy a console.

Consoles serve a purpose for sure. I have one. I don't pretend that it is somehow better than a PC (and that's why I do eyerolls when people yammer on about 'aim assist'...it is nothing compared to PC play). But one thing I don't have to do is worry about keeping my console 'up to spec'. Accepting less good play for less maintenance for me is a worthwhile tradeoff. Most games aren't worth the extra performance anyway, not to me.
If I got into PC gaming it would be for a game with monster graphics that was a single player experience. Not to be overclocked SnipurxX01l33T. But that's just me, I understand for others, yes, enhanced shooty is what they like better.- @KelRiever Standard console player: Turns on console, plays game.
Standard PC player: Turns on PC, 10 different things need to update, Firewall now interfers with game, needs fixing before playing game.
PC player tells console player how many frames, etc. he runs game with, then proceeds to turn every graphics setting in game to low or off before playing game.
Preach it, I am done with the maintenance gaming on PC requires. I had enough when EA's Sim City 3 couldn't run any more because Microsoft discontinued whatever dll the game needed to run. Bro? I'm playing the game. Gave up and deleted after 1 month of no solution provided by EA. Haven't played a game on PC since. Dogwater system. And then we have the cheating and/or mod issue ontop of that.
Side-note: As Apex is completely unplayable currently (fix Mixtape!) I've been playing other games. Like Tiny Tina. And the first thing the game did was asking me if I wanted frames or graphics, and I was like, okay, let's try, this is what them PC's always rave on about... played for 1 minute, went to options, chose graphics... much better gaming experience.@CCbathwater
I hear ya, PC gaming is an Art, it takes work, you can't just turn on a game and play.
You need to, or you should tweak Windows
Install and adjust video drivers
And the list goes on, but, take it from a gaming geek, and I mean, I've been PC gaming a very long time, if you get into it, then you shouldn't run into problems, or that often. But you also have to build a good gaming PC with good parts.
I built a gaming box last year, Rog Strix B550F-Gaming, Ryzen 5 5600X with an EVGA 3080 FTW3 ULTRA, and it's been purring like a swiss watch, and all the games I play, Zero Issues.
Sure console gaming is less problematic, but you're never going to get a console game looking like NextGen high end gaming PC hardware, which is now 4090 level...
Don't give up, if you want to play extreme ultra next gen settings with games that are ultra realisitic.
HEY, I've modded out Skyrim, presently have over 300 mods on it, and I have it looking like a 2023 NextGen extremly realistic looking game, it would blow you away, how real I have it looking. 🙂

The difference between a console and a pc fifteen years ago is definitely not the difference between a console and a pc now. And if it was, the answer is simple: cheaters.- @reconzero The reality is, that pc gaming is still ahead in literrly every aspect… sorry but when I read people talking about competing in gaming while playing on a 60 fps console that needs stronger aimasssist to make up for the terrible frames and stuttering I have to laugh my * off.
You talking about cheaters ? Where are the numbers of Cronus etc users ? How many of the high ranked people on console will use Cronus ? And probably even play with mnk and abuse the .6 aimassist ? Console is not this safe haven anymore people believe it to be… yea wallhacking/aimbots are much rarer on console because it’s a bit more effort to crack the console to go that way. But you have to put into perspective the amount of aimbot/wallhack vs cronus etc.
And for every wallhacker you will have like 20x amount of cronus users(pc is in that boat there just as much no worries)
And to posts like the one opened here, please show me some actual evidence of that happening, we in 2023 everyone that has a Nvidia card can clip anything anytime, pls show me the clips where someone does spawn in an armor… pls show me a clip of someone oneshotting someone with fists, theese kind of things if they are happening are hacking and not cheating, you can’t just change dmg numbers of your punch without interfering with the server and he doesn’t just eat everything you send him. Very easy to detect something like this. Or crap like I emptied a whole clip into someone and they didn’t die then he killed me. Please show me the clips to theese things happening. Played for 3.5k h this game and for more than 20k hours cs and never have I seen someone spawn in an armor or crap like that lol. And I played csgo on rank global elite and apex I have 1.7-2.3 kdr depending on account and season. Surely I should see that shot happening on higher ranks-mmr.
And wverytime I open profiles of people claiming such things without evidence it’s far below avg people reporting such anomalies…
Yes cheating is terrible yes apex has a problem there but it’s not as bad as people try to depict it. That ofc if we take Cronus etc out of the picture with it in we have a much bigger problemHave you ever seen the Shield Bat hack, whereas in less than a second it completes? I have with my own eyes, as well as videos of it. I've seen on hacking websites specifically made for apex legends, a list of available cheats. Just because you don't see it, or haven't seen it, does not mean it does not exist.
Yes, there are damage reducing hacks and damage increased hacks, as well as 1 shot and 1 hit hacks and almost a hundred more. My son, pulled up scripts in front of me, a list of over 80 different ones made just for Apex Legends. These cost roughly $3'00 each American currency.
I have posted on this forum available cheats tailored specifically for this game, so that ppl can see what is out there.... and yes, ppl use them. Day one player with over 15,000 hrs played. You really think, Someone that has played this game as much as myself, can't see this * happening. Like I can't see the difference from beta to season 7 as opposed to season 10 to present?
If you pay attention to detail as a long time Apex Legends player, its not that hard to see the change.... and of course the incredible amount of cronus and macros users.
