I have not played a lot of matches in TDM, mixtape, etc. But when I have been there I would almost always describe the situation as toxic. I know it's an overused word, but I don't know how else to describe what I experienced, or what you experienced against the world's #1 sweat. Separate PC players from console players for a start. Use a functional skill-based matchmaking algorithm instead of hiding behind excuses like, "It would take too long for good players to get a match." NOT MY PROBLEM. And eliminate secondary accounts. And lastly, and I know it isn't even possible, figure out how to identify cheaters and IP ban them.

@AymCTL I feel bad for you dude but this is the game and you need to adapt and progress. You can't stay at your low-skill level forever, you need to improve by facing this monsters. I know some people will say - if you don't want to play against them play ranked and you will play against similar skilled players but nope, not anymore. Even ranked is mixed now, plat 4 are playing against predators. Just improve your skills.

@1-mf If this were 3 seasons ago I would 100% agree with your post here. Back then I enjoyed sitting in mixtape for a couple hours because the players there forced me to up my game and play better than I did in pubs.

However, right now the situation is so bad it's impossible to improve by facing these players because they instantly take you out (most have rapid fire/zero recoil) and no matter how many clips you put into them it does nothing at all to their health bar.

No one that is at my level is going to beat someone like Hal and other players of his level without cheating, period. Since I don't cheat, and I was unable to even get into this gun run (I got taken out instantly everytime I respawned), I don't see how I can improve through facing "monsters."

I do agree I need to adapt and progress. I study the videos of Verhulst, ItzTimmy, District, Scrappy, Dazs, and other top players and when I see something I want to incorporate into my play I spend lots of time in the firing range.

For instance, I wanted to learn the various kinds of strafing and wall jumping and how to incorporate that into a fight, so I went into the range and set up situations with the dummies on hard or full combat that allowed me to learn to use the moves. This is my way of adapting.

I agree under normal conditions in apex this is the correct approach to improve, and I know you are trying to help and I thank you for that, but I think between the bad matchmaking and controller boxes it is going to be difficult to improve since you can't practice in an actual match without getting killed instantly.

I am thankful they added bot royale though because I've been able to practice in an actual match.

@AymCTL Don't forget that they added crossplay and this kinda killed everything because AA (aimassit) abusers (mostly all masters/preds) are able to destroy you in seconds.I knew at some point they will mix plat-pred lobbies because there are not enough players to play against in ranked anymore. About pubs - they mix everything, you can face a brand new player and top predators at the same time, like I said - game is not fun anymore. I'm an OG player and from 20 friends I used to play with , now only 1 guy is still playing, other 19 left when they started to add new maps and force you to play them. 5 years and still no option to choose map, because if they add it no one is going to play the new maps 🙂

This is not my experience at all.

East coast Georgia servers, typically after 3pm ET.

I’d estimate I see 25% encounters with teams that are either preds or cheating without any hope to recover.

@AymCTL Hal isn't TSM so it wasn't really him. Anyone could be using that name as Steam allows anything and everything.
