  • I like the mode at it's core, but controller characters are simply too strong.

It becomes super difficult to take over an area if it's filled to the brim with Caustic barrels, Wattson fences and Rampart walls.

I do play a lot of Fuse and it does help, but it's not always that helpful.

A large portion of the game it also feels like I'm separated from my team, feels like it's a bit hard in some cases to get together, not sure why though.

Had some cases where I'd spawn in an enemy team or where an enemy would spawn exactly on me, feels a bit inconsistent, so that's something that should definitely be looked into IMO.

And well, skull town is pretty much the only map that works well with this mode, with the other maps, it's just too hard to take over an area.

  • @Lord_Scorpion34I tried two games on Zeus station and shut off. I know it wasn't enough to really try it but in those two games I saw the following- Campers just sitting on height not playing the objective. Full teams of controllers dominating the spots. It felt like get shot in the back simulator.

Don't know. Not allowed to enter the lobby without changing my console language to English, so haven't tried it.

The game over would be great if they took out certain legends caustic, rampart Watson catalyst conduit that I think it would be fine

    @CCbathwaterLol what?

@EPS1234it's not high on the fun list for me either but taking away Legends isn't it. I've played with some control legends & still lost!

Idk what would need to be changed but I don't like it as it is.

Lockdown was fun for me for exactly 1 day but since it has just become boring because it is impossible because every zone is just a Caustic sitting in a corner barrelled up in a room with no real counter to push. I mean fair, it's what the legend is there for and good at. However, I feel that more zones in open areas would really make the mode more interesting and dynamic than just having to blindly push a Caustic in every zone https://speedtest.vet/  .

Yeah controller legends are quite strong, especially with Caustic just taking up all the space.

I've found that Fuse has been quite good at doing a lot of damage in these small areas, destroying Caustic barrels whilst also getting players out of their spots.

  • Come on, Caustic nerfed to the floor since S8 (no perks in that mode) is still a problem for you? Giant barrels(x10 of wattson fence foundation, x3 of Conduit's jammer), easily destroyed(1 hit, if you got patience, instead of full mag on each of 5 jammers) from any distance(hello, Catalyst), with 15s cooldown and damage easily ignored...Also, the position he has to to be in is small and certainly predictable(thanks to necessity to at least 1 player inside to keep zone under control), and the percentage of zones, suitable for effective barrel defense is about 30.

  • @XHelperZ Nah I think it's great that Controller Legends are a valuable pick rather than Mobiliy Legends dominating another game mode. It also gives value to Legends like Maggie and Fuse who are good at digging out or punishing players that camp in close spaces.

The problems I have are with the spawns and target priority.

Spawns - Too often you'll spawn close to enemy teams making it difficult and frustrating trying to get anywhere and group up.

Target Priority - In any game mode the goal is to win. In a FFA game mode that often leads to each team unilaterally targeting any team that pulls out ahead too much. If the scores are...

    Team 1 = 200 points

    Team 2 = 250 points

    Team 3 = 275 points

    Team 4 = 400 points

Then I know that I can't win without targeting Team 4 and every other competent squad should know that too. However I can't hesitate to figure out if the squad I'm looking at is the winning squad nor do I want to intentionally ignore enemy teams right next to me. It just feels fake doing so but fighting another losing team just ends with the squad in the lead winning. Once a squad pulls ahead the game is basically over which ends competition and makes it boring.
