TIPS FOR NOT GETTING BANNED DUE TO TOXIC TEAMMATES

1. Mute your mic.

2. Mute teammates when they show ANY signs of toxicity, tilting, *-hattery, etc. I don't know how, but find a way.

3. Do NOT respond via voice or keyboard. Especially do not respond with slurs, insults, or queries about the same as that triggers the algorithm and then your ban.

Here's the deal: EA outsources moderation to a company overseas whose employees do not read reports for context or meaning. All that matters is that you triggered the algorithm.

So if you ask "why did you call me a ****?" that will trigger it. And out of caution, they will ban you for a day/week/month/permanently.

Oh, they got it wrong? THEY DON'T CARE. It's a free game. They don't need you. You triggered the algorithm, and they don't have time to draw out your deeper meaning. This isn't Shakespeare.

Be civil or be silent, and if your teammates rage at you, mute!

I always avoid EA by simply replying to people post game on PSN.

Just had two teammates, in rank, watch my banner expire all the while looting boxes.

    “we don’t need a third”

    had to resist the urge.

@hayhor  Happened first fight off the drop, teammate clutched the 2 vs 1, rez'd his buddy, watched me bleed out, loot, and only then did I open my mic to ask why....

They actually finished 3rd, and before backing out, he goes 'if only we had a third'.

This is in Plat 1, never seen such a toxic duo, it is what it is.

  • @NatusM Muting toxic and weird random teammates is just a good idea overall. Why listen to that garbage if you don't have to? Not like their comms are gonna help you anyways.

@Gabrielmojo26 good for you. I also stick around and reap the reward of their hard work, if they don't revive me. I get survival XP and if they win championship ... so do I. I think it is odd when I am playing with others who drop as soon as they deathbox.

@Xubunnytwo It was a rough gaming session last night, wasn't losing another 50rp just because of their big egos, but I'll admit, the 3rd place was bitter sweet, really wanted them to die early on lol.

@Gabrielmojo26  I don't play ranked, but if I did, and still got points for placement, I would thank them for the free points: "Thanks for the points, lads. Had to hit the can. I guess you were still useful afterall."

I had the ultimate baiter last night in winter express. He would run in, insta die and then type swearing and hate messages in the text chat about how bad me and the other guy were. I only stuck around so I could report the guy. The guy was clearly baiting to try and get a reaction to report. Our other random at the end told the guy it was the worst baiting he's ever seen.
