@blkarmphoenix I like your post... first off, has the cat found his way home?
To the reasons as to why they played badly. I wasn’t verbally abusive, heck I don’t even have my mic on most of the time. When we dropped the first time, both me and the other teammate were pinging where enemies were going. What this this guy do? Go straight towards where 2 teams are already fighting. So he comes in late obviously and bam, within 5 seconds he’s dead. I’m like ‘okay dumb move, but whatever’.
Second time same issue, goes straight where we’re not going, tries to fight and ends up dying.
Third time... I don’t even exactly know what happend here but he already touched down while I was still flying, heard him shooting and got downed right when I touch downed.
Now any of the reasons you mentioned and more are viable. But it’s my belief that if you are preoccupied or inebriated in any way, you shouldn’t play games where ppl need you. That’s just bad teamwork. It wouldn’t be so bad in a teambased game where you have ‘unlimited’ lives like CoD. But this is something else entirely.
Thats why I stated that he’s either unlucky, bad or one of the other reasons he played that badly. It didn’t help that he was lvl 89 as well.
Also I’m not saying I’m extremely good, I’m not. I can hold my own in close quarters and hot dropping. Some just can’t. You can see it in their movements, the way they shoot, heck even when they run away. I’ve seen (in the 4 matches I’ve played) ppl run in a straight line when getting shot. If you know anything about CQC you know not to do that, cause thats what gets you killed. Others are using the longbow on the train when fighting someone with an automatic weapon. Either you’re extremely confident/cocky or entirely stupid OR out of ammo but so far I’ve yet to even burn through half my ammo...
So yea there’s a multitude of reasons why someone wasn’t performing well, but I didn’t berate them on it, it was more, seen it, seen it again and again so yea something’s definitely up so posting here to warn ppl.
Same thing was also happening on the mirage voyager. People shootind the decoy mirages because they thought that it was a real person either because they got scared, were so focused they shoot everything or buckled under the pressure xD

@Koochi-Q
Yes all kitties are home and accounted for 🙂
Not all are toxic. But by nature, the toxic ones are the loudest. Sure, there are people who just really need to think through their actions, but game sense comes with time.
I'll die on this hill defending the mediocre gamer lol.
That being said, I shant hijack this poor OP's post with my tirades of humanity in gaming any longer lol. To steer back to topic...
I don't think there should be a leaving penalty in LTM modes. Its Christmas for petes sake.

- 6 years ago@blkarmphoenix Lolz unfortunately I’m the thread hijacker and derailer so before I Harry Potter it back I’m glad all the kitties are safe and sound! (I’m an animal lover, I would care more for a cat than a person in danger XD).
Okay to that point. I AM definitely toxic XD. Everyone here can attest to that, BUT I don’t always do it in game. This LTM gives several chances and luckily the other teammate had gamesense and didn’t run into battles like a headless chicken. BUT if this were normal apex and after several pings to stay put or something and the guy made us lose or got me killed, that mic would’ve automatically unmuted and so would the questioning regarding that person’s state of mind or IQ :P
I got no problem with mediocre gamers. As long as they listen. It’s like the army. It’s life or dead. If you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s all good if you listen. If you don’t, ppl die and if you survive, you’re gonna get an earfull.
I’ve played with absolute newbs who were lower than lvl 10. Some with mics, some didn’t who listened to what I or the other person said or when we pinged something, they’d follow. I got no issue dying as a teacher. But if I get ignored as a teacher when you clearly don’t know what you’re doing, you’re gonna get that catholic punishment, ruler style XD.
Now sim sala abalony kablam: wait... was this thread about penalty’s in LTM? XD. I thought it was about seeing low skilled ppl... ohhh yup yup I remember.
Was the same case with shadowfall. People wanted a penalty. I’m kinda neutral. It would make the games much more enjoyable, but I wouldn’t want to get stuck with a team that doesn’t play the objective. Maybe a set penalty of 5 minutes no play instead of increasing in duration?- 6 years agoMaybe a set penalty of 5 minutes no play instead of increasing in duration?
Not a bad idea. A limited penalty for this mode.
- 6 years ago@blkarmphoenix “Christmas for petes sake.“. LOL honestly the music cheers me up! I was thinking, I wonder if it will make people less toxic?

I love the music! The shadowfall music I didn't care for as much, but I love Christmas themed Apex lol.
