There's a volume toggle for it but I like some voice-lines like Mirage's and Gibby's while others are really annoying. It would be nice if you could just pick a character from a list and just like mute their voice lines not like certain quips.
It would be nice, as noted above, if you could turn off any non-abilitiy, non-ping tied voice lines.
However, that will not happen as people can pay money for those. Can't have us not being forced to see or hear other people's drip after all. (Guild Wars 2 is the only multiplayer game I know of that lets you turn the graphic quality of other players down, or select 'standard enemy models'. If there is others please let me know!)
Most importantly, as they use these voice lines, like many other things in the game, as fillers for Apex Packs so it takes longer to get the skins you really want at random they will also never remove them or disable them. "People have paid for those" rEAspawn execs will say, sarcastically, while they do drugs and drink fine Scotch, while laughing at all the fools who spend real money on this game.
Just because someone payed for a voicelines, almost exclusively to annoy other players, doesn't mean those other players should suffer. I don't want to turn my sound off completely but it is hard to play Apex when everytime you die you hear the same crap over and over again.

My friend and I don't have any issues with the VOs, other than all our characters panic too quickly about getting inside the ring. We could be standing 10 meters from the ring and they are telling us "Not everyone is inside the ring, do you want to die?". Another is "Check your map, we are spread out too far." and my partner is over scouting for bad guys ( aka all of you guys!). We don't take the quotes serious, but we like how when one of us plays Revenant he never says, Thank you or complements anyone.
Limited VOs are like this, they get stale pretty fast. Back in the day... GTA SA was credited with having the largest VO library in video game. The characters and the NPCs would hold random conversations that sounded "somewhat" natural on the street. They would even look at Carl Johnson's clothes and hair style and make comments directed at you. Maybe you would like Apex a lot more or less, if they added conversations in combat??

Also, on the voice lines contrast...
