Weapon buff or shield downgrade?

With the latest patch the send to have been some sort of weird buff that absolutely melts shield regardless of how high level they are. I had a level 3 shield on and my teammate and I had another team kill us off within seconds flat. Had an enemy hit me from behind on another map when I had a level 2 shield and within seconds was taken down as well. Unsure of it's a certain weapon that's giving certain damage, but it is an issue. Just want to see if anyone else is having this issue and will I provide video when necessary.

    I don't think I recorded it. Next time I will make sure of it. It was just very odd and wasn't expected at all.

    @Th3Extreme It's the Netcode/Servers.
    BFV had the same issue but Dice fixed it.
    You tend to receive all damage at once or in a very short space of time.

    that's hilarious.No, it was either a Pathfinder or Wraith I got killed from using Mirage.

    It is definitely netcode being bad front loading damage on you.  Been a problem since launch and it won't get better anytime soon since they are not prioritizing fixing the netcode.

  • Your shields were melted "within seconds" ?

    I don't mean to be mean here but I think you're imagining things, 75 HP shouldn't take long to melt.

    That's easily less than half a second for R99. 1 single burst from a prowler deals 70 damage alone, 1 wingman headshot even with a purple helmet destroys that lvl 2 body. Etc etc.

    I can go on and list examples, but the bottom line is that 75 HP isn't that much, and anyone hitting their shots will break that shield in a lot less than "seconds"

    You can be killed by a single player in under 1 second in this game from 200ehp, discounting the Kraber.  After you add in latency and reaction time you can feel like you instantly die.  If you have more than 1 player shooting at you, you can instantly die.

    We need a better internet infrastructure.  Until then there is no fix for latency outside ping limits or lan gameplay.  In a perfect world you should ping any location from any location with a maximum of 66.6ms, but things don't work like that.
