@EA_David
I play Xbox.
The Eva-8 is one of my favorite weapons in the game, but it has a few issues right now. Ironically, the havoc shares one of the issues, but I will get to the Havoc in a few.
The biggest issue with the Eva-8 IMO is hit detection. I can't believe I am saying this, but with the exception of the Mozambique, I believe the shotguns have the worst hit detection in the game.
This is a big problem because you generally need every shot to land correctly in order to win with a shot gun, especially late game against upgraded automatic weapons. This is one of the reasons the Eva-8 is hard to bring to late game situations. Sometimes terrible hit registration along with probably the longest reload time in the game is too much to make the weapon an option.
The 2nd issue also applies to the Havoc as well. The Havoc is in almost perfect condition as far as balancing goes. It has probably the largest learning curve, but it is also one of if not the most powerful gun in the game outside of sniper rifles.
The biggest issue with the Havoc late game is it is too hard to find ammo. This is also a big issue with the Shotguns. It is just too hard to find ammo if you don't already have it,.
Solutions: The shotgun ammo nerf definitely hurt. As many have said, 64 was probably alot, but the shotgun should be able to carry at least 24 rounds. And I would love a bigger mag for the Eva-8. 2 more shots would go a long way. A faster reload would help alot too, but I would probably do either or, not both together as that could make it too powerful.
A simple solution for the Havoc would be to allow you to hold more energy in your inventory. Or maybe you could have the option to convert light and/or heavy to energy. For example, you could irreversibly convert 40 light or heavy to 20 energy.
