What did you think of the new map? season 15 map teaser

The teaser named A New Hope (Home) is now active if you got the golden ticket. I suggest checking it out first for yourself before joining the discussion here. You can check it out in the game modes playlist in the upper right part of the screen.

So what did you think about the map? Is it too grey? Too barren? Love it or hate it? What you explored is just one POI and that half of the map is green like Olympus and half is moon grey like the one in the teaser (mini map in the leaks tab below).

Under here are some videos of the map and the minimap of the Divided Moon which may or may not be updated. One is exploring the surroundings of POI in the teaser and the other one is an old leak of the whole map.

    @hayhor Not sure but I assume they will be given early server access since this will be a big season. Media outlets and content creators usually get access a week before the release around the same day as the gameplay trailer releases.

    @hayhor My understanding is that they had only a Q&A meeting. Though perhaps that was S14 and I'm misremembering.  Respawn has tightened up the ship immensely to avoid the leaking that has occurred in recent seasons.

    I am really hoping the mist is a permanent feature to try and cut down on the long range 3rd party sniping. Sniping has it's place, but it should be to soften targets before a push or to hold a position at range and try to keep them away.

    I'm just hoping the map doesn't require a Valk for effective rotations like Storm Point. While I like Valk, and kills wise you would likely call her my "main" (though still far behind most of you) I don't want to be stuck playing her because of the current map in rotation.

    @Cheese9Man Yesterday I broke out of the tour and walked around in the map 3 times, showing some friends around, this is how the map should be explored, especially since you don’t get anything from doing the teaser.

    Ps this is no the actual map, it’s a piece of it with some blank surroundings set on kings canyon. When you ready up it says loading in to kings canyon. I would highly recommend exploring the map in foot 🙂
