What does it take to get support?
I have been in a battle with EA Support for the last 8-9 days regarding my account being hacked. I logged in last Tuesday to play Arena after not playing Apex for roughly a month, tried to play and found out that my account was banned. I looked at my club activity history and saw that it showed I recently played and oddly the language was in Russian. I immediately contacted support as my account appeared to have been hacked and for whatever reason banned. I was told by a support agent that my account was unbanned while I was at work, then I got home from work and it was still banned. Started another support chat and was told that I needed to reset my password, log out, log back in, activate EA's version of 2FA only to still be banned. I have just received another email from TOS team stating that my account was used to cheat, and since my account was used to cheat the ban will not be lifted. With evidence showing activity from a location other than my own during this time that I was not playing, it appears obvious to me that while my account was hacked, the hacker used it to cheat. Why should I be held responsible for a hackers actions? How is this justice?
- @ItsRhetorik its hard to determen if its you that cheated via a VPN.
maybe it was someone you know that you shared your account details with..
for tech support its realy hard to make the right choice.
in this case it was Bad luck for you. all you can do now is gather as much evidence as possible and sent it to the TOS team.
i hope you will get your account back.
EA people on the forum are verry limited and can't do much for you other than giving advice on what to do.
Good luck to you.
