What's the point of disputing a ban/suspension if EA just ignores it?

In the month of January this year, i have been permanently banned from the game Apex Legends for being toxic towards a griefer/troller selfish main character type of a player. I have viewed the ban history and there is an option there called "dispute", i clicked on it and i have presented reasons and arguments on why i should still deserve a punishment but not in the form of a permanent ban (6 or 12 month suspension whould be better than a permanent ban), why i was being toxic towards the player, and why permanent ban is bad choice of punishment.

After creating that dispute, i was then emailed and shown of a response from the dispute i've made and i've made plenty of it and all of the responses saying that they have "investigated" it and saying that punishment i have received was "justified".

If it were already "justified" and has been "investigated" from the beginning, why the dispute option still exist then? The responses also are automated like sending disputes to an NPC from a video game where the NPCs is doing the "investigating" rather than actual normal human employees in customer support.

I also find it hilarious that playing selfishly, griefing, trolling, or toxicity through voice chat (which i have experienced where some teenager telling me to go f myself and telling me to end myself) is allowed.

I have tried to do the live chat thing hoping that maybe i could have a chat with an actual human being from EA but its impossible since it says that i need to resolve bad/suspension issue first even tho i wanted to do the live chat just to solve that issue.

When you agree to the Terms of Service and then break those rules, your account is subject to being sanctioned. Toxic behavior especially is something that will easily get you banned. Normally, there's a warning the first time in the form of a temporary ban. If the same behavior continues, it's possible the next ban will be permanent.

We cannot help with this. Only ToS can lift the ban and if there have been 3 disputes already, there is nothing else that can be done. The ban will not be overturned in that case.

    Hello, @f4rkry

Submitting a dispute does not guarantee the ban will be overturned. If there is clear evidence of breaking the rules, the ban will not be overturned. Being toxic towards other players is absolutely against the rules and will most often result in the account being actioned.

  • With the servers kicking people consistently and the EAC error running rampant how many false bans are going to be sent out? Just look at steam forums and reddit. Its a disaster. Respawn needs to address this issues.

  • @EA_Aljo You're wrong in so many many different levels buddy.
Im not expecting every single dispute of a ban/suspension made by anyone would be overturned, what i do expect 100% of the time is that dispute is actually being seen by someone from EA rather than just left the someone who created the dispute for hours and just replied to their dispute through automated message and the decision of the offense is already fixed.

If the decision is already "justifed" and "investigated" where things are already fixed, why even bother add in the dispute option? Just to give players false sense of hope?

You said yourself that toxicity lead to an account being actioned, well what about someone who have claimed that their accounts is banned for no reason? I saw players that has been banned from the game for killing afk bots in tdm and somehow they got banned and the dispute doesn't work for them.

All i want is a reasonable response but sadly i didn't get any.
  • @TheMapp True sadly, its just EA. Remember that Titanfall 3 is cancelled for this.

I to be honest can't exactly pin the whole blame solely on EA, i also blames the players for enabling them EA to go rampant.
  • @EA_AljoI also never asked for the punishment that i have received to be overturned. I only asked for a reasonable punishment (perma ban isn't a reasonable punishment).

If a thief stole bread worth 10 dollars to feed his 3 children, would the death penalty or prison for life is a fitting sentence for the thief? Any human being with a soul would know the answer to that question.

  • @EA_Aljo I have made over 3 disputes already but in those first 3 disputes, all of the responses that i have received are automated bot responses with no ever living human sees my dispute other than me.

No human beings works in ToS hence why im here in the first place.

Humans work in ToS. They will send canned emails though.

Again, there is nothing we can do to help with this. I've given you all the information I can so I'm now going to lock this thread.
