I shoot someone for 190 damage and some dude from another team shoots him once 300 meters away and gets the kill, the game should at least give me half of the RP as per the damage that I did.

Exactly. The game system is entirely broken in terms of "ranked" and skill. I do believe the ranked system is broken in many regards right now. We've had 15 seasons of the SAME SBMM and ranked system. However, let me be very clear, the "skill based matchmaking" is failing me astronomically. I maybe 5-10% of my games am I being paired with players of equivalent or even better than myself (heaven forbid I be carried).
In regards to kill stealing, I think damage would negate your issues as well. Snipers are nothing more than rats currently only adding stress to games while adding zero value to the sniper unless you get the knock/kill. Which in turn, needs to be addressed.
However, again - I should not be paired with players doing 200 damage every game expected to carry them. Those same players are making the most ridiculous mistakes in the world as well. Then half of those players will talk crap to me, because I didn't push into 99% certain death.- Kyldenar3 years agoSeasoned Ace

There is so much wrong with this statement, at least the way I'm reading it. I would love for you to elaborate on what you mean, and also talk more about "needs to be addressed."
"Snipers add stress to games." Are they supposed to send you flowers before they shoot? Are they supposed to send a thank you card after they knock you? Is there any part of this game that isn't stressful? Any part that isn't supposed to cause stress? And what does "while adding zero value to the sniper" even mean? If I use a 301 up close and don't get the knock is shooting in general stressful and adding no value... to what? The game? The player? The squad? I didn't mean to make it sound like an attack. I was just truly shocked by the statements and did not understand at all where they were coming from.
I read every word and I get it now. Your last paragraph is a 100% accurate description of me as a player, just several rungs down the skill ladder from you. The other difference is that I long ago gave up on any notion of balanced matchmaking in this game. Which is why I count a match as completely successful if I snipe my way to third place, get a kill or two, maybe even tip the win between the other two squads, and quit before anyone can kill me. It's sad as that is hardly the way the creators envisioned people playing their game, but they've got a lot of work to do if they want it played some other way. And at season 15 I'm really not holding my breath for any big changes. But I still appreciate your disappointment.

@maximas1986This the only case that's really frustrating when it comes to kill stealing but having average damage determine RP is not the solution. All those snipers will just exploit it.

@hayhor Yeah, if damage gets you RP then everybody would just play with a charge rifle in order to farm damage, ruining the game.

@hayhorI don't agree. Charge rifles are already part of the game and people are farming with them already. I can deal out massive damage with a flatline, 301, or spitfire very easily. I don't think the idiots in this community would care anyways. They are still going to charge into a 99% certain death situation and duke out 200 damage for the KP. As long as KP outweighs damage, then the issue for damage would resolve a lot while maintaining the integrity of the current situation.
They need to find a way to implement damage into the ranked system regardless. Good players are going to push those charge rifles very easily. If the charge rifle becomes that big of a problem, remove it from the game straight up. I can use any sniper effectively and often love using a sentinel for how hard it hits. I can get one shot knocks very easily while amped.- hayhor3 years agoHero@anab0lix Anyway back on topic. I do not have a problem if damage was factored in in some way. I am talking damage on a player that is not knocked. But kills still matter and need to mean more. Without them the game would never end.
The bigger issues with ranked as I see it-
1 - Unlimited KP - People are now going for the big KP games, even though in the process they lose more than they gain dying to get that one big game. When KP was limited, people would take fights smarter. But people that could not play a lot complained this limited how far they could get.
2 - Matchmaking is too loose. It used to be golds were mainly with golds, plats with plats and so forth. Now it seems like its a complete mix of anything.
3 - Split demotion with no cap on the overall demotion. For example, I have not played ranked at all in a couple seasons and if I went in now I would be Bronze IV. That is not really fair to true bronze IV players.
4 - All of the above make the whole process a grind. I believe it is more for engagement. It keeps you grinding. For what? A trail, badge and charm? I do not get the infatuation people have.
Also, some people go into ranked because the lobbies are easier than their pubs due to some extreme pub matchmaking. I met a guy many seasons ago who told me he was kill grinding.....in plat ranked. When I asked why he did not just play pubs he told me because plat meant he was in easier lobbies.
If you fix the above, you would not need any damage factor.
