@hayhor Placement vs unlimited kills. Placement could be "cheesed" easily. High kills can not. It's that simple.
Another thing thing to consider is why certain sports have "man of the match". Sure, the other team won, with like 3 kills, but man of the match showed the most raw skill with 20 and just messed up somewhere and died. Best player was still him, with or without the win. And it's not even an opinion, just truth.

Yup, it's the truth. If you're playing Call of Duty where most kills wins.

Yup, nobody ever "cheesed" kills by creating a secondary account to smurf their way to 20/4k. I've never seen anyone do that just so they could feel all manly destroying noobs and stream it for cash.

- 3 years ago@reconzero Not sure if sarcastic or serious. Either way, smurf accounts are a direct result of people getting frustrated with low win rates or whatever....

There are a lot of reasons why people make smurf accounts. The reasons are irrelevant. The result is a player seeking to match lower than their legitimate mmr for the purposes of attaining easy kills and/or wins. That's what I call cheesing kills. It isn't just something that CAN be done. It's something that IS being done every single match in a game this old.
Which is just a long-winded way of saying that there is no stat in this game, not even kills/death or kills/match or kills/win or any other form of kills... that isn't suspect. Kills alone mean nothing without context.- reconzero3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Unitee01
"Bro, let me break fps games down for you: you kill other players."
Thanks for the tip.
I'm not really sure what you took out of my last post, but I'm getting the impression that you believe I treat good aim with contempt because I don't have it myself, and I can only assure you that nothing could be farther from the truth. I DON'T have it, and I don't treat it with contempt when other people exhibit it.
All that out of the way, my point was that the kill stat is just as paddable as any other, not that all players with high kill counts are somehow cheating. I guess I wasn't clear on that.
