Why am I not getting any better

I don’t understand why I’m not getting any better at Apex legends. I play 4 to 6 hours every single day. I’ve been playing since the game first came out. I have watched so many videos and I’m doing exactly what they say as far as finding cover When you’re fighting somebody, only peeking out of the cover to shoot and then ducking back in. And every single game I only get about two or three kills. My sensitivity is perfect for me. Which is really Low. I’ve watched videos on how to adjust your settings and sensitivity and how to determine which sensitivity is best for you .I do the training and firing range every day for about 15 minutes before I play to make sure that my shots are on point. And I’m warmed up. I have been playing first person shooters for about 20 years now. When I play call of duty or battlefield I dominate. But when I play Apex legends I get Destroyed. I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong. It seems like aiming in Apex legends is different than any other game and I don’t know how to set it so it feels like battlefield.
I have not adjusted my sensitivity in probably six months. I have watched my playback of me fighting and if my sensitivity is any higher than I’m over shooting the enemies and if I lower it I am under shooting so I know my sensitivity is right on. I just don’t understand how I am this bad at this game. Especially for the amount of time I’ve put into it.

@EdwardDLuffyIf you say so. I've played since season 0 and have friends who play. None of us post numbers like that and I don't think I'm that bad, probably average. So... skeptical to say the least or you are playing in lobbies where everyone is trash.

  • @RockDokRock Well, all I can say is I've been playing since S4 and my S4 KDr was 0.13 lol. I've just improved a lot - am Lvl500 with just under 500 wins. I'd say my lobbies are fairly balanced but sometimes I do get games where players just seem to jump in front of my guns. Most games I finish in the top five and usually my TMs have more kills than me - 5 to 6 is the most common.

Are you on PC? I'm on XBox with crossplay disabled and console lobbies are easier than PC lobbies.

@EdwardDLuffy I'm on PS4 and I don't have the same experience as you at all.  If you think you are a poor player than I am absolute garbage.

  • @RockDokRock Hey, I never said you were garbage! I am *sad* enough to play Apex and (practically) only Apex so I've got a lot of experience. TBH I don't think there's that much difference between a 1KDr player and a 2KDr player, but I think I you have to hit 2KDr and above before you can claim to be a good player. My S9 KDr has sunk now to 1.97 anyways lol.

@EdwardDLuffy I kinda disagree that console lobbies are easier. I'm on PS5 and when I use the R-99 and Eva-8 up close against PC players you can actually see them panic. LOL! I can’t compete with pc players in a mid-long range fight. They just have better recoil control at that range.
  • @Cheese9Man Yeah, I tend to agree. When I play in PC lobbies I just get beamed from mid-to-long range. When you're playing Legends with no escape abilities (as I do) you're usually dead before you've worked out where the shots are coming from.

@EdwardDLuffy Well if you're around 2 now, from 0.13, then I want to know how you did improve, if you may please😉
I feel like sometimes I have really good reactions and manage to pull some good tricks off or save the day for my time, but really most of the time first encounter I get my * whooped, especially in BR. I've doubled my KDR from season 8 to 9 (from 0.08 to 0.15, corrected big mistakes in movements and mechanics), but still Season 10 gets me in between, and anyway my "apex" sucks hell.

I've been playing the game for awhile and no matter I try or do I tend to either never get kills but 600+ DMG and always die first I cant feel myself improve I feel like I've been at the same skill lvl I was at when the game first came out
