I'm getting so many pred and master trails in public matches with friends it is getting a bit crazy. Yesterday there were still 30 left in the ship and I counted 10+ trails. And you know people they were with were just hiding it. When did you crank up the premade factor in the sbmm? Why should my friends and I be punished?I've seen lots of premades should have their own lobbies posts on here due to some people struggling to play nice with others but why cater to them?

@pastaclown The vast majority of randoms I see cant kill or win. I'd guess the median kd is more in the .5 range on this game and median win rate is 1%.

@Koochi-Q Me with my Lifetime 0.85 k/d. That should tell you how bad I was when I first started or at least for the first half of it. From S0-S3 my k/d was 0.55 to 0.9. Well, Apex is my first FPS game ever so...After S4, I have k/d above 1. Currently sitting at around 1.5. But the damage is done, I cry everytime I see my Lifetime k/d or avg damage(250 something) lol

If they leave, respawn doesn’t care cause they either already got their money or at the very least +1 registered account to boast about.If they stay to beat high skill, it means a long commitment which means they’ll likely buy stuff to look good while kicking arse even if they can’t see it themselves except when flying...Conspiracy theory but a valid one XD

If they stay to beat high skill, it means a long commitment which means they’ll likely buy stuff to look good while kicking arse even if they can’t see it themselves except when flying...

@hayhor Eh, I don't care about going up against pre-made teams. The only thing making different pre-made and solo-queue lobbies will achieve is a split playerbase and making the short queue times longer which I don't want to let go of.

I duo queued with someone few days back in pubs and the amount of TTVs was insane. Since your win rate is 10% maybe that's why you see lots of sweaty lobbies, I am chilling with my 5%. :/

@BaldWraithSimp When I solo queue my lobbies are much lower level so it isnt my win rate by itself. And my normal teammates arent significantly better than me and certainly arent masters or pred level. The only difference is we have a team.

@hayhor I get it why they implemented it, as pre-mades have way better co-ordination, reflected by your win rate. That's double of what I can achieve as a solo-queue!

I can't attest to the severity of whatever shape or form of SBMM they have as at least 80% of my 14k games is solo-queued.

@BaldWraithSimp It shouldn't matter. It is a choice we make. I played yesterday solo and won 3 times. My win rate actually went up solo queuing. I 🤣

@hayhor That’s the thing... when we play together for that 1.5-2 hours we usually get between 0-3 wins. Alone I get just as much usually or more xD.

Just now I did 3 games letting my food cool off, first one JM is afk and comes back in final few secs but by that time I had already solo jumped and other guy followed me and JM after bit of looting I’m assuming D/C’d.

2nd game 5-10 min game but unfortunately wiped out due to no blame of any of us.

3rd game win, nothing really special.

What was weird tho... each of these lobbies the champion was either a diamond or pred with 20 bomb... one of them had a Bang with 80K+ kills... I screamed it out “EIGHTYTHOUSAND KILLZ?! WTPEEP!!!”

I expect such things when premade, not when I’m solo with my useless bum xD

Because Respawn tried too hard to create "fair" matches across the board, which ended up only satisfying the people who were the least likely to put in effort / continue to play if they weren't having a good time. Like I said in another thread, SBMM tries to solve the problem of creating a fair fight between your butt naked average joe, and a literal bear. For premades, it's 3 average joes, vs. three bears. Considering that a majority of the playerbase can't hold / reach a 1.0 K/D ratio, it's pretty safe to assume that a lot of people simply aren't good. Random matchmaking is the only truly fair experience IMO.

@pastaclown You know I still can’t get over that ppl can’t retain a 1.0 K/D. Not even seasonal...

I’m no God tier player. Far from it. In Apex I might be slightly above average atm (was a lot better in beginning/until S3 where I just didn’t see the point of trying too hard anymore), but I was playing with @hayhor couple days ago and we were talking about K/D and it shocked me to hear that his K/D wasn’t over 1 when I know he can hold his own in a fight.

Alternatively he was shocked to hear that this was my first season since probs S1/2 where my seasonal K/D was below 2.0.

So I don’t really get it, well I get if you have like 10-50 kills and K/D is below 1 or near it, but after like 1K kills, I would imagine that it’s at least 1.3 or something seeing as I think it’s quite common to kill 2/3 ppl every 3-5 games on average. Yes sometimes you get multiple games with 0/1 kill back to back but so far I’ve yet to hear someone having 15+ games with no kills xD
