@fartnitepalyerPhysics. It’s simulating real world wide angle lenses taking into account focal length. It pushes farther objects away and pulls nearer objects in, making the iron sights look bigger. You can test this out if you have a phone that has a wide angle lens camera.
If you’re gonna say that this isn’t real life and just a game but this decision was deliberately made by Respawn. Not sure how other FPS games handle the FOV changes.
why are you trying to rationalize every bad thing Respawn does?
who says they deliberately decided to simulate this?
what if the viewmodel fov just scales poorly with the fov because they simply didnt want it to be zoomed out?

Wait, why did you become so defensive? Did I offend you in anyway? LMAO. If you’ve been reading my posts here, you’ll see I rant a lot about this game and question every bad decision Respawn has made.
If you study eyes and lenses, that’s how optics work. Okay, I’m out. Good luck.
- hayhor4 years agoHero@fartnitepalyer Cheese gave you the actual reasoning and you proceed to insult him. Were you actually asking why it is like this or just complaining? Many people don't like the high FOV due to the fisheye effect. Apex isn't the only game that does this. 🤷♂️
