Players arent the same as they were 10 years ago. Now with all these new controllers taking recoil out of it, the average console player is WAY more likely to hit for 120+ vs the average mkb player. ive watched good players play on controller and seems like they dont have to be nearly as accurate with their shots, they just happen to hit the enemy even if crosshair is way off. tired of all my shots being 1cm off and the bullet doesnt hit. i get it, you need to lead your shots at certain distances, i dont mean that. seems like controller is way more forgiving. i bet i get killed more by console players than i do pc and I KNOW ive been hit for 150+ WAY more times by console players than mkb playerswe DONT need aim assist anymore. take it out and all the controller players will be on the same playing field as other controller players. ive never complained about aim assist in call of duty, fortnite etc, ONLY apex legends. it just seems over buffed for this game

Because "average players" do not and cannot one mag anyone. Ever. Does this mess up the balance at higher levels and cause IH to switch to controller and convince every mnk player on the planet that controller aa gives an unbeatable advatnage? Yup. Does it really give an unbeatable advantage? Dunno. Do I care whether masters and predators want to lock themselves into a life-and-death struggle over the viability of controller? But what happened in your clip had absolutely nothing to do with aa, you just slided right into his bullets especially the first chunk of Bullets you took were only because you slided right into his crosshairs wich was on your body height at the beginning…I played for almost 20 years on mnk and I also played controller for quite a while by now just to understand what it can do and what it can’t… and no it does not go for headshot at all, it actually pulls to body.I still agree that aa is probably a bit to overturned currently because of the zero ms reactiontime for example but it’s not as crazy as many mnk players believe.

Nothing wrong with aim assist. Leave it alone. Just do separate controller/MnK lobbies. Console players definitely need AA.

The argument from roller players is normally that we kbm players have privilege in movement and looting freedom. Which is bunk logic. This is like saying the athlete with natural talent that busts his * to be good has too much privilege from his genes and we should somehow push him down or elevate all the others to be at his level. This is nothing more than catering to the lowest common denominator to try and level the field. Participation trophies for all.
This is the way of it. It is unfortunate, but the majority of players are roller now (something like 92%+ of pros). COD is the same way. I am also a PC player that has been complaining about AA for a long time in these games. This is just the way competitive gaming seems to be going these days. Making everything more casual. AA saves people from hours of practicing pixel perfect flicks with their mouse and sensitivity of choice.

@matzesingt Maybe we are agreeing without saying it here. I agree these current gen BR games seem to stray far away from anything fair and competitive. Shooter games much like any multiplayer game is competitive at heart. Even single player games can be competitive, but can still have that aspect tainted by cheating/assistance or otherwise unfair play. This definition still fits Apex just like all those other games. Some games just tend to cater and others do not. Competing against others is the game, thus competition.

I believe it to be a matter of facts that there are cheaters in game. Some use aimbots, some walls and aimbots, some only walls, and some use the Zen.
Assuming the above, it seems to me to follow that the above players have a definite advantage. So much so that they would easily be better than at least 99% of the playerbase. Exception to that would be cheaters that are so blatant that will be caught by average players.
So, please someone explain me, how do those players at the very top, s can rise above even to the cheaters without cheating themselves?.

like i said, the average controller player one mags far far more often than the average mkb player. name one other game where that happens. if aim asisst wasnt strong, you wouldnt see god like mkb players like imperialhal go to controller and play only on it. that literally proves my argument right there on how strong it is.
people love to watch players like timmy and aceu and think that every mkb player can laser like that. its not true at all. its 2023. aim assist shouldnt be a thing. all controller players would be on even ground if you take away aim assist. if they still want to play against mkb players then thats on them

So lots of players use other cheats beacuse its now hard to separate one from another.
Do we got option to uncheck cross play?
If we dont than we need it, maybe longer que time but hey........
Lots of people think that they play worse by the day, but its not about that its all about worse players get better by using Aim assist cheat.
