Why is gun run not a solos mode?

After playing this mode for literally 3 minutes its blatantly obvious that being a team mode does literally nothing for this game and makes no sense seeing as you progress along different guns sepera...

@zoah666 I can't speak for others, but I love this Gun Run mode! I always loved playing Gun Game on older CoD's, and this is an interesting, fresh take on it. I was expecting it to be the traditional solos, and was a little confused by the advancement system at first, but it's actually pretty nifty! I wasn't sure how a team-based version of this mode would be, but I had a blast with it last night. Me and my two buddies had some fun wins.

I like the way they did the upgrade/advancement system, because if I'm having a bad spell and can't get a kill for a few minutes, but my team mates are still getting kills, my next kill essentially catches me up with my team. It's definitely different from the traditional Gun Game, but I'm definitely a fan, just judging from the few hours I played last night.

As mentioned by @XHelperZ they have already done a solo-mode LTM back in the early seasons, and their internal data showed that it negatively effected the game, especially with new player retention (at the time). In my opinion, the game has changed quite a bit since then, so it might not hurt to run the LTM again to see what the data says now, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I would probably play a couple matches if they did, but I didn't really enjoy the solo LTM the first time, so I don't know if it would be any better at this time

Gun run, in my opinion, is better or at the same level as Control when it comes to fun factor. My friends and I were having a blast even though there are only two maps. They play completely different too which is great.

Now how about we remove ranked arenas already and have a rotating LTM of Arenas pubs, Gun Run and Control?

Other than the crashing, I have no problems yet for the mode.

  @Cheese9ManPremade teams have an epic advantage over pubs. In every case, my only wins were when I was matched up with two friends. Edit: two friends of each other. Not two of my friends, lol.
  
  The matchmaking is horrific for it, I may add. There's nothing better than my sub .35 k/d getting put against Twitch streamers who can quite literally mow down the lobby even if they only have 2 people on their team.
  
  That said, I really like the concept. If the matchmaking worked better, it would be even more of a blast.

    @LaughingSharko In gun run if I play with friends all the other teams are premade high level squads. It is actually easier for me to win as a solo......

  @Cheese9Man I forgot to mention the maps. There's only the two at the moment, but you're right, they play completely differently, so I still had a fun! I wasn't a fan of the Fragment map the first match, but it grew on me. I prefer the Skulltown one, but both were pretty fun to play. I'd imagine they'll eventually add more maps to this, if it sticks around/returns like Control does.
  
  I'm mostly with you on the playlist change. My personal wishlist for game modes would be:
  
  BR pubs - unchanged
  BR ranked - add duos
  
  Arena pubs - unchanged
  Arena ranked - removed
  
  Permanent LTM rotation, maybe 1 week cycle or so (Gun Run, Control and a mix of the other LTM's they've run in the past, and hopefully a new one from time to time)
