Why is it so hard to get good teammates?

As the title says. Why?

I literally just got out of a game with an octane, and while we did survive me-second to last circle, octane-last circle- it was not that fruitful of a game.

We barely stopped to fight anyone since the octane only wanted to run, going through things so fast that I didn't have time to grab really anything. From the first landing it was a struggle getting ammo, gun components, shields, backpacks...etc. I did my best to keep up though. I ended up with a white backpack, a flatline with no extra components, and a shotgun with a lvl 3 barrel.

The octane in his hurry to get us away from other teams, got us stuck right in the middle of the remaining squads and it was a back and forth between one end to the next, trying to avoid getting hit, and each time, despite the dodging and weaving, someone would chip off my armor, forcing me to have to heal it and use what little shields I was able to find.

Meanwhile, octane is just running around everywhere, not taking a hit because he was so much faster, and sitting on all the shields.

Like holy cow, why didn't we just hold up somewhere and fight someone off instead of getting smack dab in the middle of it all?

It was super annoying and frustrating, trying to get supplies to see my teammate had already raided it all and even more frustrating trying to catch up.

@Gabrielmojo26 I always get matched with very low skilled players and low levels, until I have lost about 8 to 10 matches. When I say "lost" - I mean destroyed, first person I come across and first shots fired....Hi Lobby.
    Once I get wasted 8 - 10 matches, I usually get a 20 bomb 4k badge pro as a teammate (duos).
And sometimes that match is actually worse than the 8 to 10 prior....depending on what makes a good game for someone.
I love how the system thinks, this poor guy just got his a*s handed to him...lets cut him a break and give him a good match, here is a master/pred as a teammate. This will help how??

And speaking from personal experience - on average, Octanes are the most frustrating and toxic type team players imaginable.

Just finished my daily ranked session with my duo and man, did we get some choice randoms today.  The last guy, we were wondering if he even had a headset on, and right after that he killed himself with his own knuckle cluster.
