Why not have both maps in rotation?

Well, I can think of a few reasons why:

• Crypto and the latest weapon and loot changes probably don't work well in Kings Canyon;
• it breaks the storyline of the game;
• Kings Canyon needs some significant and refreshing changes, it's possible that their dev team couldn't handle 2 maps and preferred to bring something new in this moment when the competition is fierce;
• they needed players to fully focus on a single map, it's easy to silently go back to the "old skull" game if you don't like the new meta but, if you have no choice, you will come to complain about every issue (it works, isn't it?);
• 2 maps split the playerbase, hurting higher ranked matches the most;
• most Legendary Season 3 skins are following the new map theme, they would look weird in Kings Canyon, maybe even putting players at a disadvantage sometimes.

I would like Kings Canyon back at some point with the changes you say, you're not the only person that has requested these. But wouldn't play it right now, as I'm exploring this beautiful new map, trying to discover its secrets, lore and learning the new meta.

To take Kings canyon out, just let us select what map we want!  Dev interview said they didn’t want people leaving cause they wanted a certain map. That is the laziest decision I’ve ever seen.

"BF1 has no wait time" statement is so wrong in my region (Asia).

I play on PC if it helps.

Your other statement is also wrong. PUBG has 4 maps and some maps are complete dead. with 25 mins wait time. Another example is CO BO4, many game modes are completely dead lolz.

Its insane how the main defense for not giving us KC is because no one would play the new map if given a choice lol.

Because that's called giving players freedom of option to choose to play the game in the ways that are the most enjoyable and fun for them? 

Are you saying diversity of gameplay and options is bad?

Should they also have only three playable legends at  a time per season, and only one type of each weapon per map, only because some legends and weapons are not used as often?

I am not going to lie, the fact that Respawn periodically chooses to withheld options for fun gameplay (solo mode, old map) with excuse that it's all will be back later someday, is getting pretty tiresome, and is probably one of the major reasons that's holding this game back. 

Just add more stuff for us to play with, and let players decide what they want to play. Rotating pieces of content to stretch it's use, looks, I don't know, little bit lazy, for the lack of better word?

Forgot a few other good reasons:

• Respawn's intention to keep the players permanently adapting and outside of their comfort zone;
• new Apex players coming in and having less chances to rank up when competing against "old skull" veterans that know every nook and cranny of Kings Canyon by heart.

I see this thread is still hopeless smh... We gave a quote from the patch notes that KC will come back at some point, and we've given valid reasons supporting Respawn's decision. How is "freedom" blah blah blah even an argument......? Every other BR is one map, and every other multiplayer is random maps unless it's an event or custom match. So the real issue is, "I don't want to learn the new map and want everything my way."

Typical entitled gamers.
