Serious question here, have that said why or anything because I didn't expect kings canyon to be dropped, there was things I imagined having in kings canyon to make feel like a living breathing world, weather cycles and environmental groups of AI etc. but they've definitely took a few steps back here, again.

Why would they take the time to create a whole new map, which is what we've been asking for, only to have us play it half the time...? They're starting this season with the new map and will bring King's Canyon back if there's enough demand for it.But all that's in the patch notes./shrug

Well, I can think of a few reasons why:Crypto and the latest weapon and loot changes probably don't work well in Kings Canyon;it breaks the storyline of the game;Kings Canyon needs some significant and refreshing changes, it's possible that their dev team couldn't handle 2 maps and preferred to bring something new in this moment when the competition is fierce;they needed players to fully focus on a single map, it's easy to silently go back to the "old skull" game if you don't like the new meta but, if you have no choice, you will come to complain about every issue (it works, isn't it?);2 maps split the playerbase, hurting higher ranked matches the most;most Legendary Season 3 skins are following the new map theme, they would look weird in Kings Canyon, maybe even putting players at a disadvantage sometimes.I would like Kings Canyon back at some point with the changes you say, you're not the only person that has requested these. But wouldn't play it right now, as I'm exploring this beautiful new map, trying to discover its secrets, lore and learning the new meta.

I see this thread is still hopeless smh... We gave a quote from the patch notes that KC will come back at some point, and we've given valid reasons supporting Respawn's decision. How is "freedom" blah blah blah even an argument......? Every other BR is one map, and every other multiplayer is random maps unless it's an event or custom match. So the real issue is, "I don't want to learn the new map and want everything my way."Typical entitled gamers.

Why not have both maps in rotation?

Add one before you do some permanent damage please.
The game was slow and safe enough with the forced teams of 3 gameplay, Streching out the map in this fashion makes it even slower and even more uneventful.

For the record, I've stopped playing because of other issues. I'm no fanboy, but can see short sighted opinions a mile off.
No doubt if both maps were available in rotation, but your game wait time increased, or connections suffered, you'd be here like a shot to say how crap it is and how only one map should be in rotation.
Then people would still want solos on both maps, diluting the MMing even further. But hey, players know best lol.

@Silz616Oh come on. Battlefield, cod, Halo, and virtually every other FPS all have far more than one map and no wait times. Been playing BF1 (years old) again because of how bad BFV is and there are virtually no wait times.

This is a non issue, and having just one map is a recipe for burnout.

Heard it all before. "But other games", "MMing won't be affected". Basically, "We know better than Respawn". Well I say, no you don't.
Respawn obviously have their reasons for how they run MMing and what they want active at any given time. There's just no satisfying this community on the whole.
When will people realise this is NOT other games, yet still screamers want it "their way". Grow up.
