Why on earth does Newcastle have such a low pickrate?

He's such an awesome Legend, he's great for rezzing teammates in tough sitches and holding down doorways with the shield!

I mean to each their own but I've literally given myself whiplash by finding out he has that low of a pickrate, it's so odd. 😂

@ExpertEpic99 Because he's got a huge hit box and doesn't move fast enough. (Eveb though they claim all legends move the same, I don't belive it) I can feel the difference when use him or gibby.
Other people might be able to use him just fine, but not me.

@ExpertEpic99 Well there are a few reasons.
#1. Not a movement Legend. Overly simple but most players (and the game itself) favors mobility.
#2. Not an aggressive Legend. Any Legend can be played aggressively but his kit is designed for defense.
#3. Big hitbox means he's punished for being out of position more.
#4. Finicky abilities. His tactical in particular will take a few tries to get used to and a while to master. Easier to just fly with Horizon.
#5. Seen as a support Legend. I don't play him so I can't confirm but I'd bet teammates always expect him to pull off BS revives and will scream at you if you don't. Being seen as the "support" character in any game is always frustrating.
He's a Legend with nice abilities but we all knew this community wouldn't take to him.

@heme725 A mate of mine mains him and we do 3 stack around that. So I won't use my main, I'll swap out for Wraith and then we usually have an octane, pathy or Horizon.

Because he's:
1. Boring
2. Needs a team to work with...
...which you know is a negative in Apex's 'Team Based' game. Nobody works with a team. They take a character they can hold W/the forward stick position, run through the open, fire and then blame their team mates for not going with them. If funny, it's because it is true.

@ExpertEpic99 I like him. But he is tough to play with cuz you can't be too aggressive with him & that's how a lot of people play. He's a tactical player that takes thinking & being strategic which most people also don't do.

Now I have to find someone playing him at high level lol.

Most defensive Legends have low picks. That's why they had to tweak Rampart so much so people would play her. A team with her & NC is dope if you can find someone to be on the same page.
