Why were Duos added to the game?

I'm asking this because Duos were already in the game, in normal Trios mode. 8 out of 10 games you will have one less teammate because people keep leaving the game, so now it's as if we have a double...

@Cro_Pittt Because 3’s a crowd and even tho the third usually gets less attention, it’s still a trio unfortunately...

@Koochi-Q But i usually don't have a third guy in my squad so i can't pay less attention to him xD.

    Yeah, in trios i am usually playing solo/duo mode, because of broken matchmaking system.
    We asked SOLO mode, but developers gave us DUOS. Why? I have no idea...
