Not everyone can climb plat. I’m level 500 and have a kd of 1.2 most seasons in pubs. I have tried since season one to get to plat 3 and have never made it. On the way through gold I can often get a 20% win rate and I have finally given up this season and just play pubs. I don’t solo queue either but end playing with people I meet in pubs that get to diamond or masters. Every one of them says anyone can get to diamond and all I need to do is play with them but no one has been successful. I hate ranked and can’t climb passed plat 4. I have tried every strategy but just can’t get kills in ranked. The closest I have got was by hiding to last 3 most games but that took forever and then a few games of being killed straight away made me give up as it took too long. I don’t have the mentality for ranked and it stresses me out. I think the football analogy from the other person is very clear. If you get to diamond then you are way better than most players and just because you find it doable doesn’t mean it is easy. Rant over.
@Mr_Mi5ch13f_2you already gave a few hints in your comment why you can't get past P4:
- it takes too long, probably you are impatient in fights as well and take too many unnecessary risks, run into 1 vs multiple because you failed to stop and survey the surrounding, etc.
- it takes too long meaning that you want fast progress like in gold or below level = 1 game boom you get max KP TOP 5 finish 100+ RP... e.g. it took me ~4 days of constant daily playing for 6-8h to go from P1 to D4 that's 600 RP in 4 days or 125 RP on average per day. So ask yourself a question how much time would be too long to go from P4 say to D4 = 2400 RP? Probably answer legit for you to try would be a week or something 🙂
Also, people can't comprehend that if it would be easy, everyone would do it which in turn would bring everyone into say Diamond or Masters and devalue that rank and everyone would like to be in Pred and again wouldn't be able to make there FAST.

Most aren't thus most are not good players in this community no matter their level, thus people in Diamond who get there easy yet knowing that they are not ideal do say comments like mentioned here.
@Mr_Mi5ch13f_2I tried in S6, I gave up since the progress was rather slow. Not recounting my S2 experience of getting my noob Plat IV arse handed back to me, after that I would quit playing after reaching Platinum.
First two times in S7 and S8, it took me two weeks of 3 hour per session/day to climb Platinum to diamond. 3rd time it took me about 22 hrs over the course of a week on Worlds Edge.
It is frustrating as hell, sometimes you will lose 200 RP in a row and then get a win to neutralize the loss by the end of session. All that effort for 0 RP net. If you know you can fight well, just focus on positioning/rotation. Retreat at the first sign of third party, you can't do much against a full team. Some people forget that and end up dying when they could have survived and got more points for whole team. If I get a hotdropper on my team, I just take the loss(most hotdrops end up like that) and move on to the next game.
