- @0xznn That's the last thing this game needs on console is the ability to to use M&K. Bad enough with more than half the lobby using strikepacks and other macros.
- @NACHONOV0 Whats so wrong with it I mean PC used keyboard and mouse
@0xznnDude console has strong aim assist. Apex' Aimassist is determined by a value from 0 (nothing) to 1 (full blown aimbot). On PC, aim assist is set to 0.4, on console it is 0.6.(no idea why it's stronger on console).
The reason for that is obviously because usually, aiming with joysticks is a lot harder/less precise than with M&K.
If you now had console level aim assist on the precision that a good M&K user has, it'd be incredibly close to an aimbot cause aim assist prevents you from overaiming your target and it slightly pulls your gun into the direction of the enemy. A good M&K player would beam the s*#t out of people. It'd break the game.- @Zero-Loot5 Ok they can do what cod has and if you use a k&m you don’t have aim assist. So what’s the problem if they don’t have aim assist and just play with k&m
@Zero-Loot5I don't see any issue with MNK support on the console, warzone was able to apply the system perfectly on day one.
it's very simple, once MNK is connected and MNK selected as the input method then the player will get the PC treatment, reduced or no aim assist, and will be joining PC lobbies.
so actually it's the other way around, if the console gets MNK support and matched in PC lobbies then the disadvantage here is the framerate as long it's still capped on console and even if it's opened then consoles like PS5 and Xbox X can get 120 FPS at most but it's still better than 60.
not mentioning the older consoles which can get to 40 FPS at most
in the end, having the option is nice and I don't see any downsides of It- @maximas1986 Yeah, honestly I don't like the idea of forcing a input method down everyone's throat. If someone wants to play MnK on console let them do it as long as they are put in appropriate lobbies. If someone gets low fps that's on them and it's their choice if they want to be in PC lobbies.
- @BaldWraithSimp " If someone gets low fps that's on them and it's their choice if they want to be in PC lobbies"
exactly, if a player feels they are at disadvantage it's on them as long the option exists.
most important is the correct implementation from Respawn side which easy and straightforward.
if they don't know how to do it they can steal it from Activision XD
