They fixed it this season, you get just as much for an assist as a kill. For the record in Apex KDR is the most useless stat in the game, if you play your party role correctly you might get bundles of assist and few kills or other way around, all dependant on what role you got in the team. I seen what KDR hunting does to the game, shitloads of people quitting before they are boxed.

Hmm.. Then why bother playing? For the pretty pictures?@SewerTierGamer No the point of this game is to win, whenever you kill 20 or 2 enemies.

I still say the easiest fix is for Kills trackers to track both Kills and Assists.
- @SewerTierGamer Please start doing your math homework. Its a simple statistic. Sometimes somebody will steal kill from you, sometimes you will steal kill. More damage you do on longer period - more kills. Math dont lie!
I've got to get better at confirming my kills. I don't get mad at Respawn for my knocks not counting, I try to improve my skills.
@SewerTierGamerI think everyone gets what your saying but no one agrees.
I have a ultimate FAIR solution though. You only get a full kill if you took all the shield and health off an enemy. Anything less you get a percentage of a kill if that person gets knocked by anyone. Down damaged doesnt count. If the player heals it resets that bit of damage you did. Say you do 100 damage on a white shield player, you get .66 of a kill. Then you 3rd a squad and shoot a red shield player who only had 20 health left. You get .088 of a kill. You get nothing for the downed players on that team because you didn't shoot them. So now you have .748 of a kill.

Math dont lie!Not true, its still what role you play, if youre playing support you gnaw damage but arent there to land the kill, you loose more kills then you claim by chance. Has nothing to do with math. For full breacher teams it might be, but still depends if youre playing high rish or safe breacher, a safe breacker might claim steady kills but then again let some go because there is a chance he will get killed claiming the runner, while you always have a vampire on the team running off for the simple kills all the time, these will have high kill counts and with a good team they keep getting ressed, KDR is for me very very little value, most stats really. Proof is in the pudding, show me youre good, stats is just numbers.
- @Zkepz I think it all balances out. You could make the same argument you mention for support only the other way getting kills behind their breacher. Their 1st player runs in, does a bunch of damage but doesn't knock anyone due to circumstances. The other 2 players get there soon after and down all 3 wounded players. My guess is the OP is always first into the action, does lots of damage and just doesn't knock enough people. If he would hang back and use teammates as bait he could claim more kills.
@hayhor I been playing support for a while, now im 2nd breacher but when I played support I would normally claim 2-3 time the others damage but get allmost no kills because the cleanupcrew claim the kills smoking the people hiding trying to heal, also if youre unlukcy enough to get knocked if you got 6 knocks hanging and the people around you finish your skills before youre ressed you can loose them and they claim the kills. There are some interesting stuff there. When we play pubs we even out because then we play triple breach.
- dSKyNafinchin4 years agoHero (Retired)@SewerTierGamer That was more of a generalization, but with how predictable the gaming community is these days, one can almost predict the future with decent accuracy. A lot of people just want something to complain about these days, and it doesn't matter if the "issue" is "fixed", as they will just find the next thing to complain about. I see it on a daily basis, whether it be gaming or at work.
On topic though, as others have pointed out, the entire point of a Battle Royale is to be the last man standing, and KDR is pointless. Kills quite literally do not matter. I have a few wins on Apex with 0 team damage. I have matches with 1,500 dmg and no kills, with multiple assists. I have games with 300-500 dmg with 8+ kills. The final bullet that damages the enemy, gets the kill, as it should. It's often referred to as the "kill shot".
@hayhor Lmao that would be an insane way to count kills!! Maybe a future LTM?
