OK. I have to ask.I have seen lots of people who think the Wingman is awesome. It packs a punch and is a powerful weapon. I agree.The problem is I cant' hit **** with it. I just can't. Even when I have time, shooting at someone STANDING STILL from behind and line them up in the red dot on the sights I'll still miss. Literally.What is up with that? I just don't know how to use it and the sights don't seem to do anything.I've been at the point where I will pretty much pick anything else up or get rid of it ASAP. It's useless.I can't be the only one.- DR

@RockDokRock You are not the only one. Sometimes I double headshot people and drop them in like 3 bullets and sometimes I can't hit anyhting with it. It's a high risk, high reward gun. I have friends who are absolutely insane with the gun, but have the same problem, there are times when they can't hit anything with it. If I want to win I don't take wingman, if i wanna mess around and have fun I take it.

If I feel like I am playing well and my aim is on point I will pick one up and use it. Half the time though I feel certain I should have hit someone and it doesn't. I find its best to not put any sight on there at all, maybe a digital threat but thats it. I think largely using it well is getting the tempo right and not just spamming it as fast as it will fire, which for me is often the case.Main reason for carrying one for me is not having to carry much ammo for it really.

I love the wingman but you have to get an HCOG on it lol iron sights are no good…used to run it round 1 in arenas but would rather pick G7 first which gives you HCOG without the upgrade, then later on when I have more points and depending on map and enemy play style I’ll go wingman

I hated it. Never picked it up, but after some 1v1 sessions in firing range with a friend I stopped being scared of it, and now I'll play it on occasion. There are just several guns that I like better so doesn't happen often. I can only use it with the 1x Hcog though, or the iron sight if there is no 1x Hcog available.

I am convinced I should have hit with it many times. One game I literally had a guy with his back to me (looting) walked up to him aiming down sights and had the red dot right on his head... fired. Miss. Unbelievable. This is why I think it's broken. That was a dead cert headshot and no hit was registered from a few feet away.- DR

@RockDokRockHonestly idk, I miss the Hammerpoint too, but like I said before ever since I started playing shooters as a kid, with my brother, I always choose to use Pistols(CallOfDuty, Battlefield, Battlefront, etc). To my detriment in my early days of gaming, but I always stuck with using Pistols, even if I got chastised for it.🤣

I think, it came from the same smug Racing Driver I have always been IRL. My mentality being, if I can beat other competitors with the seemingly underpowered car, or underpowered weapon, then that would prove my skill as a Racer/Gamer. 🤣

@RockDokRock I loved the P2020 with the Hammerpoint hop-up & it was a shame it was ditched in season 9.It is one of the things that really annoy me in the game when hop-ups are introduced in the game that can really alter the lower tier weapons & propel them to an upper-tier (like Double-Tap Trigger,Disruptor etc) & then ditch them so soon after without an alternative & these weapons just remain as lower tier again.

The R45 is my pistol of choice & I find my accuracy with it far better than the R99,the quick reload also helps.

@RockDokRock As others have mentioned, I basically only run with the Wingman when I'm on a streak and hitting my shots, which is most definitely NOT every day. I can pick up the Scout and hit my shots pretty much any day, but there's just something about that dang Wingman lol. On the off chance that I'm having a great day and pick one up, I am utter TRASH with the iron sight on that thing!! I simply cannot use it without a 1x hcog or a threat scope

@RedmattgameI think they could have kept hammerpoints around. Even when some of us could appreciate how good they made the P2020 and Mozambique I don't think it was that widely used in general. I would always have kept a Mozambique for the whole game if I found hammerpoints. They could even have upped its rarity to yellow and reduced its availability. At least these days nobody has to drop with no armour and face the unlikely but devastating proposition of a lucky opponent grabbing hammerpoints and a gun to use them in on drop.

@Piabetic I too, was confused why Hammerpoint was shelved, even with the P2020, & Mozambique using it, they still didn’t seem overpowered… 😕

@Piabetic Deathray FTW. Who needs sights?

I'm among the "try not to use it" crowd generally. But I got two kills off rip the other day and will take it as s secondary more often now. The aiming style feels very different to me than other one shot guns. It's the only gun besides maybe the PK that i find myself flicking with (I'm on controller).

It's the gun that has taken me the longest to get used to, but now I am pretty damn good with it.
As other have said THERE IS NO MARGIN FOR ERROR. You can't wave it around like most other guns - it's literally SNAP BANG SNAP BANG SNAP BANG SNAP BANG. If that little white dot was on your target the split second before you pulled the trigger, then you're going to get that '45' in red or '90' in gold (I think - headshots are not my thing).
I used to be hopeless with it. The first time I wiped a squad with one (early game of course) I just fell about laughing.
