It was never about balance. The entire reason for every single game-breaking choice you mentioned is to get some kid all fired up about the game in the hope that he'll spend money in the store. At this point they should just start selling an aimbot. If they did they could charge virtually any amount of money for it and I would still buy it, only the second time I would have ever spent money in the store in six years.
