@lightning_5oAll I can say is welcome to pc lobbies thats a risk you take entering our lobbies inferior loot mechanics. I have put quite a lot of hours and game into apex more then most in the world mind you. I know the difference of the 2 and what they bring to the table. We have no option to not play with console. Console can avoid our loot mechanics completely by not entering our lobbies. But how is it we go without having to play against consoles aim assist? We dont have a way we are forced.
I have never used a controller on pc and not used a controller on console in over 12 years. I picked up controller plugged into pc. Very first game i drop 3200 dmg and 11 kills with minimal effort. So if myself can have that outcome the very first time using controller on this game and in 12 years then that should say something. Imperial Hal also had the same exact outcome as i did. There are reasons us who put in 15k + games have our reasons for not wanting it.

@E9ine_AC“ I have never used a controller on pc and not used a controller on console in over 12 years. I picked up controller plugged into pc. Very first game i drop 3200 dmg and 11 kills with minimal effort. “
Yeah sorry but I don’t believe that in the slightest lol. I know from my time here that you’re very good at the game but you’re just making yourself sound a * by saying that . I don’t doubt that you could pick up a controller and still do well, because you are good at the game - but trying to make out you dropped 3.2k 11 kills with “minimal effort “ just because you used a Controller and that you haven’t touched one in 12 years ? Yeah that just makes the whole thing sound a lie .
Aim assist isn’t aimbot , it literally slows your reticle over an enemy slightly to compensate for the lack of accuracy a thumb stick has . Granted - it helps in close combat a lot more but again still requires you to be able to aim in the first place . You can’t make out has some massive pull or lock cause it just doesn’t otherwise I’d be able to run up to people and not even touch the right thumbstick after looking at them . And surely if aim assist was that good then all of us controller players would be getting ridiculously good matches ?
I started playing in pc lobbies 3 days ago and have had only a single win since lol. I’m not the best at the game but a bit above average with a kd of 2.4 and usually I get between 5-12 kills a game , and again since joining pc lobbies my kd has plummeted hard . Does that mean that it’s because my input puts me at a disadvantage? Nah I wouldn’t say so, I’d just say it seems most pc players seem to be better on the whole and/or I’m just having a bad streak .
And dropping names like imperial Hal doesn’t help you out mate. Just cause he’s a “pro” or whatever doesn’t suddenly make his opinion right . I’ve also played around 11k games but let me guess because I’m not a streamer or haven’t made it to pred I must just be talking * ?
Oh and Put me in a 1v1 against someone like him and guess what , he’d still win every single time because he’s better than me regardless of input methods .
This thread wasn’t supposed to be about this anyway but as you brought it up like that I couldn’t help myself . Idc what inputs people use , you’re either good with them or you’re not and getting killed by someone using a Controller doesn’t mean that it’s because aim assist done all the work . All that being said , I do agree with your first half of the comment about how you pc players don’t have a choice when it comes to crossplay . Matchmaking should always be input based to avoid stupid arguments like this .
In the end though , they both have pros and con but this was simply meant to be about having movement whilst looting on console .- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@MassiveVernon I mean you may think what you wish. You are entitled to do so. I have zero reasons to lie about experiences I have and many others most being pro players. Pro players have also picked up a controller for first time on pc and demolished the lobby as well. Some of the biggest streamer pros want cross-play removed completely. Muscle memory helps in times like this. We use to play CoD and Halo we did not forget how to do so with a controller. Of course, I hit the firing range for about an hour to get the feel of it but in that match itself, I did drop 3200 and 11 kills. It's not too hard to do IMO. The movement was an issue but up close fights, I dominated all.
But you are correct both have their advantages and disadvantages which is why I'm quite adamant about removing cross-play from ranked lobbies. There should be no advantages when it comes to that game mode. Pubs I don't even care. My argument every time is in a ranked setting.- 5 years ago
Everyone knows how busted AA is. AA has no place in a competitive fps. If you wanna have AA you should only be allowed to play with other people who have AA. I have friends on controllers who played m/k for quite a while and they just went back to controller cuz of the huge advantage AA provides and cuz m/k is just so much harder. Anyone who's good at the game and it's honest about it knows how broken and game breaking this aim assist is.
