100% CPU since season 3
Hi, Well, like the title says, usage CPU 100% since the new update, the game just crash w/o any error, it freeze and I have to kill the .exe I didn't have problem before today, any crash or maybe...

The crashes are the only thing preventing me from enjoying the game, the rest of the bugs I can live with.
- @Spinal2k This is definitely the ONLY one that works for me and works 100% nothing else needs to be changed. I have OC'd 5ghz with 0 avx 9700K and OC'd 1080Ti
@C-Men_Spillerit has never crashed (the random freeze) after this change?
I'm going to try it later.- @Spinal2k After putting 4cores, I haven't crashed at all. I tried 8cores after last patch and instantly crashed in first game. Put 4cores back and haven't crashed since.
- @C-Men_Spiller do you feel any performance impact in Apex Legends by disabling 4 cores (lower FPS or something similar)?
- @Spinal2k Hard to to think of any. With 8c I felt some small stuttering eventho I had mostly 144fps. That is gone now, maybe it's related to crashing issue. But generally I don't notice difference, maybe I'm too happy because it works now.
- @C-Men_Spiller Ok, so I tried this and definitely works. Absolutely no crashes, fps still high but CPU usage is constantly above 90% (it's ok). You can't do anything else on your PC or it will throttle.
I went back to 8cores on BIOS and i tried using the windows command "start /affinity F origin.exe" to run with just 4 cores and it still crashed. I did it at the "origin" level because directly at the game still uses all cores.
This is a good fix, but you need to close as much apps as possible for the best experience (least CPU usage). - @Spinal2k Yeah. Glad it works for you as well. Hope they fix this soon so we can use all cores
