60% Packetloss - Server Side

Hello Apex Devs,

I'm hoping someone might be able to provide some insight into a networking issue I've been experiencing in Apex Legends for over a year now.

The main issues are with in-game voice communication and returning to the lobby after matches. Alongside that, I consistently experience around 60% server-side packet loss, and it remains constant every time I play.

The unusual part is that the issue disappears completely if I route Apex's UDP traffic through a VPN configured on my MikroTik router. As soon as I switch back to my normal connection, the packet loss immediately returns.

I've spent a considerable amount of time trying to troubleshoot this. I've worked with my ISP, but they've told me everything on their end appears to be functioning normally and that they can't identify any problems. What's also interesting is that I've heard that several other players from different countries and different ISPs who are experiencing the exact same behavior, which makes me think this could be an issue on apex side.

I've attached a short video demonstrating the issue.

For the first 13 seconds, the game is running over my normal internet connection, where you can clearly see the 60% server-side packet loss. I then to switch my MikroTik router to reroute Apex's UDP traffic through my VPN. The game disconnects briefly, which is expected due to the route change, but after reconnecting, the packet loss disappears entirely. Voice communication also begins working normally again, and returning to the lobby is no longer an issue.

Based on this behavior, it seems like the problem may be related to the network path or routing between my ISP and Apex's servers rather than anything on my local network. Since routing the traffic through a VPN changes the path and consistently resolves the issue, it feels like an important clue.

I was wondering if anyone could offer some guidance on what might be causing this, or if there's anything specific I should ask my ISP to investigate. I'd also appreciate knowing which UDP ports Apex uses for in-game voice chat, and lobby communication, as that information might help narrow down the source of the problem.

At this point, I'm simply trying to understand what's happening and gather enough information to get this fixed asap. If anyone has experienced something similar or has any suggestions, I'd be very grateful for the help.

    Me and my friend are also on the same IPS and we both have the same issue, 50+ packet loss server side every game, it might be gone for 1 game, but returns the other game again. I don't have any issues on other games with packet loss, so I know it's not our IPS' problem, since it's only on Apex. It's been like this for months now, and to be honest, sometimes it's unplayable. Also this started happening after EA changed the servers to eu-central etc, and didn't have this issue on Frankfurt server before that.
