[872, 153] Unknown file version (paks\Win64\pc_all.opt.starpak)

[872, 153] Unknown file version (paks\Win64\pc_all.opt.starpak)

Crash at first attempt to try Training mode.

Attached is the dxdiag log and a screenshot of the error message.

I had just downloaded Orgin after having uninstalled it a month ago.  I proceeded to download and install Apex Legends via the Orgin desktop application.

First launch of the game, I changed the volume settings to completely mute music and lobby music.

I then launched Training mode, got to the first chest, opened it and the game crashed and error message appeared.

I do have 2 monitors, a 21 inch Samsung (DVI connection) and an HP 27inch (hdmi connection).

Please let me know if anything else is needed

Thanks!

Greg

  • In your Origin game library. Right-click Apex Legends, and click repair.

It'll cycle through checking the files on your system to see if any of them are corrupt. Otherwise, you could always try reinstalling the game from scratch. 🙂
