About Apex Legends BAN Illegal

The Apex Legends title is on the Nvidia GeForce Now and Steam menus but the game controller functions of the game as offered in the startup screens illegal. I have been hopelessly been banned. My only breach of the agreement are in terms of the "auto" and "macro" functions of the controller setup in the game menu. My only other possible breach of the agreement are my gamertag which google reports as unoffensive and my going away from keyboard to answer the phone or go to the bathroom. The EA investors make profits on these agreements between Steam, Nvidia and others and the players are expected to pay the price. It is my opininon that the staff at EA aren't managing anything just instituting rediculous policy and sending form emails.

@EA_Barry I used that function and there now is no menu option to open a new case or add to the dispute.

What are you supposed to do?  You are excited about getting a new game and you are expected to study the boiler plate agreements.  These agreements evolve over time and you have to spend the valuable time to study the agreement in detail before you can try the software.    When there is a problem you are just told to read the agreement by the support department.  The support department should at least let you know where in violation of the agreement and let you explain and or appologize. In my case there was little chance of any unfair advantage.   I was experimenting with the "auto" and "macro" functions Steam Controller functions which I admitted to EA but I had zero kills in the game.  No harn done.  Every controller made comes with game profiler software that lets you configure "auto" or "macro" functions.  Using these functions used to be very common.  Only in recent years have they been declared a violation of the agreement.  You need a lawyer to be unbanned by the policy and proceedures department responsible for resolving ban situations just so the manager dosen't have to explain to you where you broke the agreement.  What kind of support is that.   If you aren't having fun with the games what point is there in spending time and money on them.   I shoulden't spend my time here to complain but I am upset about being accused to being a cheater.

The "auto" and "macro" functions are on the menu provided by Steam, the people I got the game from.  I was using the game as intended by the provider.  If AE didn't want people using the auto or macro functions of Steam they should never have let them put the game on the GeForce NOW/Steam game streaming service menu.  Their share holder share in the profits of these companies.  I had zero kills at the time of the ban and it's not like I was unwilling to change my game play, I was just fooling around with my controller.   EA won't even tell you why they are accusing you of cheating.  They just send you a form email and tell you to appeal if you disagree.  They just tell you to study the agreement.  If they deny your appeal enough time they close the case and you can't even start a new one. Just so a manager doesn't have to answer another email.  What are they, royalty or are they too cheap to sacrifice their bonus and allow  another person to work on appeals to game bans.  The players are only human.  What fun is it to study the agreement when you get a new game?  Every controller made used to come with "auto" and "macro" functions.  Now you just stick to the menus and use common sense and go with flow.

I doubt EA will ever change its policy of banning accused cheaters without much recourse.  Calling my ban illegal makes about as much sense as calling me a cheater for playing the game as it was intended.   EA has a right to ban anyone they want just as players have a choice of weather or not they are going to spend money in the game or purchase other ea titles
