I know I'm well overdue for an OS update.Nevertheless, I'm suspecting that the cause of my issues (and another Win7 user I found) is that the Season 17 update has also ended Apex for Windows 7. Tried everything I can think of/have found, including full re-installs on both Steam and EA, and much file/repair shenannigans.If you use Windows 7, can you simply reply to say whether Apex Season 17 does or doesn't work for you?Cheers.

@XenialJesse Spent most of yesterday troubleshooting to no avail. Suspected that this might be the reason despite the stated system requirements.

I tried it on win 7, it doesn't run for me. Did the usual check anticheat/integrity/restart etc.

Windows 7 is still a super reliable OS.It must me a joke nowadays to support newer versions of Windows but not Windows 7.But the biggest joke is to give the user an error message saying "Error - There is a problem with your game’s setup. Please reinstall your game"People are like "What have I done wrong..."Am I too stupid to make this game running?" spending hours to fix this problem...They just force you to buy a newer OS and a newer Computer without telling you directly.You just waste time in trying to fix the problem according to their error message.All in all, its a freaking joke.Just stop buying products of companies like this and they will soon find out that they made a terrible mistake.

Well you're the 3rd person (plus myself) I've seen saying this, and I'm yet to find anyone saying it still works.
I'm preparing to shift to Win 10. :/

Hello,
I'm getting the following error when trying to load APEX after new season update - "r5apex.exe - Application Error The Application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application."
Everything was working fine before the update, and no error occurred. I've tried uninstalling, reapairing EasyAntiCheat and checking files integrity already. Please help me solve this problem, because i can't play game now..

Out of curiosity, what version of windows are you running? It seems to be a 7-specific issue at this stage.

its happening to me on windows 11. i try to launch the game, the apex logo pop ups-shows it loading, then just goes back to the ea hub.

I had hoped that since Steam has a banner across their site informing us of their end service date for Windows 7 support that Apex would continue to at least the same date or that EA would actually say something about ending support for Windows 7 officially. Guess I gave them too much credit.
