I had hoped that since Steam has a banner across their site informing us of their end service date for Windows 7 support that Apex would continue to at least the same date or that EA would actually say something about ending support for Windows 7 officially. Guess I gave them too much credit.
I'd assume EAC probably dropped support for Win7, causing this mess.
Or are you guys still able to play other EAC protected games?

Windows 7 is still a super reliable OS.
It must me a joke nowadays to support newer versions of Windows but not Windows 7.
But the biggest joke is to give the user an error message saying "Error - There is a problem with your game’s setup. Please reinstall your game"
People are like "What have I done wrong..."Am I too stupid to make this game running?" spending hours to fix this problem...
They just force you to buy a newer OS and a newer Computer without telling you directly.
You just waste time in trying to fix the problem according to their error message.
All in all, its a freaking joke.
Just stop buying products of companies like this and they will soon find out that they made a terrible mistake.
- 3 years ago@XHelperZ No other EAC games here, but I get the impression it's not EAC, since EAC always starts up fine and lingers for a while. The self-repair util in EAC reported no issues either.
Upon starting Apex, once the EAC window left, it would wait a moment then pop up the error. In Steam it actually reported error 0xc000000c.
